Do I ring bank to report scam or just ignore it?
Sorry so you got a text from a bank but you haven’t clicked it?
If you haven’t clicked anything just ignore, or take a pic off phone and stick on their twitter/Facebook but they are probably aware already
Well I know its not actually the bank so thats why I didn't click it.
Its pretending to be from the bank.
Delete it. Bank can't do anything about it, and if you've not clicked it you've not given anything away.
I get them for the three main Irish banks. I don't use any of them!
How do they get the mobile number anyway?
Generate them. Very standard format and a huge % of them are valid.
A lot of people when signing up clicked to have number on directory
If not loads of websites have been hacked with numbers, DPD etc, plus the HSE probably lost the majority of irelands numbers when they got hacked
The hackers just fire then out, it’s pure random and just hope someone is stupid enough to click on them
