You coukd have just said the Irish Examiner made this up along with anything else you don't like reading
For a newspaper that gets so many of these articles it is confusing why they can never get a person to make a comment with their name beside it
Incredible that they have such bad luck that all these contacts who are so willing to talk to them yet don’t want to give their names on any of these articles
No ER feeling left out , its like watching 3 children fighting over a candy bar .
I swear, I'd nothing to do with it, honestly, promise, cross my heart etc etc 😉🙃
Brilliant.
Cheeky, I know but Hillarious 😂
One of the worlds great mysteries, shall we call in Dixon Hill to investigate?
I can't work it out. It's like I never vote green then hell for leather defence. Is it just blind defence of any Government party or what.
If you don't vote FG and never have, why do you defend them so much on here?
You got called out for running cover.
Stormont is in a different jurisdiction and Westminster isn't even in the same country.
It was the government brought in a moc so as you say, take it up with your local TD. Its FF/FG with decades of previous in looking after their own. Lessons learned is all we hear but little done. Its quite obvious they like things as is, rotten.
This thread is about the Govt parties not ALL parties
I know you have said you will be voting SF but they are not the Govt yet so the thread for them is available elsewhere
ROFL
Well, you didn't disappoint. That was some sidestep. 😁
Let me repeat what you seemed to have missed in the post you quoted
“ALL dodgy expenses”
Whats hard to understand about that?
“Sunshine” 🤣
Why should I need to post a link, unless you are picking and choosing? Don’t tell me you are doing that?
That would confirm you support double standards which is nothing I would ever support
This is a Govt thread hence people discuss FF, FG and the Greens on this thread not the man under your bed, SF or anyone else. There are separate threads if you need to discuss SF, take it there
If the government hadn’t so much time wasted with pointless motions they might actually get down to some work. As we have seen after countless pointless motions by the opposition about everything and anything (including turf) the time in Dail is wasted.
It’s almost as if they don’t want the government to introduce a system to stop dodgy expenses
It has been pointed out to you that the government know about this, their own party members have been caught doing this, the leader of one government party promised to do something about it .....and NOTHING has been done.
Do you think the government have the competence to sort this out? If you do, what makes you think that?
It's not easy for you sunshine. FF and FG are the same thing now.
Why don't you post a link to that expense fraud? Trust me Dara Murphy (FG) took a lot more than 50k and his Dail fob use was very very questionable.
I'll have some FF lads for you later. I promise. 😊
Tell me, did you listen to the Connolly video yet?
-----
Q. Have FFG changed the expense rules around this since Dara Murphy's antics a few years ago??
A. OF COURSE NOT!!!
New Politics...FFG style. You're more than welcome for all the examples so far...
The thing is BA we cannot trust the government to sort anything out, never miss giving themselves a pay rise though
You seem obsessed again with FG, I don’t vote FG 😂 never have
I will again repeat the same thing, the government should stop ALL dodgy expenses. I’m sure you made sure to skip over all the dodgy ones from the people you don’t want to highlight
But please continue…make sure you don’t break the keyboard 🤦♂️
Didnt we have some light fingered TD taking 50k worth of printing equipment, strange you didn’t mention that on your travels, beats all of those you mention with just one person
Quite a laundry list 😉
And a little reminder about Dara Murphy (Fine Gael)
Dara Murphy's expenses will not be investigated, after resignation (irishexaminer.com)
Dara Murphy's expenses will not be investigated, after resignation
Dara Murphy had come under fire after it was revealed that he has claimed his full Dáil salary and expenses over the past two years, despite being largely absent from Leinster House.
Expenses claimed by Cork North-Central TD Dara Murphy cannot now be investigated after he resigned his Dáil seat.
Mr Murphy had come under fire after it was revealed that he has claimed his full Dáil salary and expenses over the past two years, despite being largely absent from Leinster House.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar told the Dáil that Mr Murphy would cooperate with the Oireachtas Ethics Committee or the Standards In Public Office Commission (SIPO) if requested.
However, neither body are now permitted to investigate a complaint made about Mr Murphy as he is no-longer a sitting member of the Dáil.
Mr Murphy formally resigned his Dáil seat just minutes after voting against a motion of no-confidence in Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy on Tuesday night.
Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin said Mr Murphy, who takes up a €150,000 job with the European Commission from today, had "effectively became an absentee Teachta Dála while still drawing a full salary".

Q. Have FFG changed the rules around this since 2019??
Here is another one who tried it twice.
Michelle Mulherin maintains 130 calls made to Kenya were 'work-related' - Independent.ie
FINE Gael TD Michelle Mulherin has maintained that all 130 phone calls she made from her Leinster House phone to Kenya were "work-related" after it emerged she has make a second payment to the Oireachtas.
The combined bill of €3,295 relates to 130 phone calls she made from her Leinster House phone to an individual in Kenya who previously worked on her election campaign.
--------------------
I will look up more later - I know RTE Investigates found a few doozies that ye might have ignored...
It is a discussion on what the government have done, and should do.
You seem to have an issue always with what they 'have done' and attempting to deflect from it.
The government have done as stated over Dara Murphy, what they should have done was sack him and seek the money back that was falsely claimed.
How's that? Do you think that should have happened?
I'll start with some recent ones BA...
Fine Gael TDs Maria Bailey and Alan Farrell had to refund Oireachtas expenses – The Irish Times
TDs and senators had to refund almost €10,000 in expenses this year after an audit found they could not provide supporting evidence to justify claiming such allowances.
Two Fine Gael TDs - Alan Farrell and Maria Bailey - and Fine Gael senator, Michelle Mulherin accounted for the bulk of the ineligible claims.
The politicians and amount of invalid expenses were TDs Alan Farrell (FG) - €4,214.79; Maria Bailey (FG) - €1,977.11 and senators Michelle Mulherin (FG) - €2,006.73; Lynn Ruane (Ind) - €978.81; Colette Kelleher (Ind) - €245.85 and Jerry Buttimer (FG) - €227.16.
Do you recognise Alan Farrell and do you know what he tried before?
I ignored it. Sad.
I seem to recall a request to stay on topic, I can understand the MONC perhaps permitted a little leeway re mentioning the main opposition party in the Dail, but we seem to be straying into Northern Ireland politics. How anyone can bring in the NI executive or Westminster when asked to name member of the Opposition in a FFGG thread is bewildering.
TD...blanch TD.
There are NO TD's in Westminster. Caught with the trousers round your ankles again.
This is the government thread. As usual it is not a discussion about what the government should do but dragged down to a name a TD member to slag off.
Similar with housing, no interest with actually resolving issues in Ireland, just having a slagging match.
We have another partitionist in our ranks, who'd have thought it?
Edit: But, if you are asking, there are a number of opposition parties who had a policy of siphoning off legitimate salaries and expenses paid to TDs as illegal party political donations. Practice stopped a few years ago.
Not to mention the classic printer cartridge swindle.
