I have a "Lyrath Estate" and then "VidaXL"
The google ads are taken from the history of what you are searching for, so I was getting a nice break away and looking for a kids swimming pool. You must be spending a lot of time searching for Leo
Not at all the ad was for a crypto scam, and that probably appeared because of some my google searches I have been doing for work.
None of the searches involved Leo.
Not to take this off topic, but boards don't pick the google ad's, they just get paid to allow them on the site.
The ad's come up based on google searchs, If you have a problem with the ad you can report it direct to the company, you will see a little X in cornor, click on it and it will report
Like I am now getting a ad on Banggood and DunnesStores, Dunnes is all outside furniture so again from searching for outside swimming pools.

I've seen it elsewhere, it's what Google Ads does and it's what you seem interested in! It is linked to the topic under discussion anyway. Clearing out your history every so often can help with that like that if they annoy you. You can also reject the ad as unsuitable etc.

I saw a silly mention that the reason bizzare adverts using Leo's image appear on Boards is because people searchs for him, utter nonsense, I've never, ever searched for Leo (Heaven's above) on Google, its the fact he's constantly discussed across the site and link attachments may mention him, that these adverts show up here.
It's Google, you don't need to search, they monitor the all links you visit and even the ones on the pages you don't visit!!!
Yes if course I understand stand that also, should have mentioned that, but just pointing out Leo's mention here also drives these ridiculous adverts, I was also referring to a snide comment yesterday.

Dara Murphy (Fine Gael) proved to the whole Dail that you could abuse travel and allowance expenses while looking for an EU job abroad and completely get away with it. He set the benchmark for expense abuse. Leo asked him nicely to pay it back and Murphy laughed at him and the tax payer.
He made over 50k a year on dodgy expenses and eventually got his EU job.

All of the parties and independents have been caught playing the expenses game. We had TD's during covid claiming full expenses living in Dublin and not travelling to the Dail.
Picking out one person is not the answer. The entire expenses system needs to be reviewed
Name a non government TD that did it even remotely as dodgy or as expensive as Dara Murphy (FG) over such a long time when not actually doing any Dail work.
He was caught and not punished - that is the entire point. Quite the opposite, he got a job in the EU. Nice....

We can mention the most notorious culprit, from a government party in the government thread. He was double jobbing and seldom seen in his constituency. His party knew and said nothing until the public got wind. And yes the FF/FG councillors putting in for attending two all day conferences in different parts of the country on the same day are bad too. Why are you both running deflection for Dara? Thats all you are doing here.

I am saying for ALL parties expenses need to be reviewed. It's not picking out one Person or one party whcih you seem to want to do which is deflecting from all the other parties and independents

Well, if you want more examples, there are a whole group of MLAs on this island (you aren't a partitionist, are you?) who are sitting at home gobbling up salaries and expenses while doing no work, and have been at this lark several times over the last decade. It is almost like they take turns in some macabre game to dream up the silliest excuse not to work but claim money.
I will give you a list later. I already did before - you must have blanked it.
So now we need to ask our TDs to clean up corrupt expenses?
