35 I heard and no office holders invited , Jack Chambers "Stumbled" across it , excusing the "Interuption " saying he had to fix audio visual cables 🤣🤣 and of course took "Names" , it's like something you'd hear about going at a fractious local parish Hall meeting 🙄
Why is a scam ad appearing on this thread? The ad says Leo is under a lot of pressure and links to the link below.

Tensions rising over Agricultural Carbon Emmisions ( No pun intended)
But this Headline perhaps did have a Pun intended 😏
"We'll have to see what way the wind is blowing first!"
Touché 😁
The scam ad mentioning Leo that I mentioned earlier also claims that Big banks are chasing him after he revealed his source of income.
Poor MM , can't get away without continuing to defend 🙄
MM knew about the secret meeting he was there right.. 🤔 😁
So if MM doesn't attend a meeting then it should be classed as "secret"
Not sure that is correct? do you?
You think the folk in FFG have any moral standards to uphold, that they actually care about the likes of MacSharry blabbering on national radio? They'd sell their own granny's if it meant securing a vote.
These lads fall back on the likes of Lowry don't forget who's vote and support they depend on time and time again.
MacSharrys phone will ring again. Do not worry about that one.
It is hilarious how reality is rejected here in order to convince this was not a secretly organised meeting to discuss the leader and the direction of the party without the big wigs.
Who it is meant to fool I don't know.
What do you mean by 'now?
Just the ones on the board who are 'our own'.
So for you, if we know something happened after the fact, it couldn't have been a secret. I'd leave it there if I were you.
Being the leader you would expect them to be told about any official meetings he may want to attend.
It's secret because he never knew it was going to take place.
@Dempo1 @FrancieBrady @Brucie Bonus I think this sums them up perfectly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKYQNtF11eg
It’s strange that all FF TD s knew about it, a TD sent a tweet out about it, MM said he knew about it.
Yet we have people here saying it was a secret meeting and have nothing to back that up. Zip, Nada.
Now come on….
MM is trying to save face. If he knew about it why did he not attend? And if he was not able to attend why did he not send senior members there?
Jack Chambers wandered along to check that the audio/video cables in the room were working. It was interesting that the real FFers held the meeting while Martin was out of the country. Perhaps they didn't want him turning up for it?
Regards...jmcc
BA's head in the sand here reminds me of this.
A blast from the past 😁
Under her tenure, new planting has collapsed. Lowest since 1946. SHe says it will not increase until 2030. THere was a vibrant forest industry-yes she inherited a fcuked up own goal from DAFM with respect to licensing, but then she did NOTHING to improve the situation. She basically tried to reinvent the wheel.
Timber has to be iported to Ireland to make up for the shortfall that is unfelled in the forests. Little conifer planting has been approved-every obstacle to conifers is thrown at that, but native woodland is planted. FYI, it's only for the birds, welcome indeed but useless for industry.
Hackett has no understanding of forestry and has made it clear she wants a reduction in conifer planting. Where is the timber going to come from? THat's the tip of the iceberg.
A traitor to this state.
Actually the cables and Jack suddenly appearing was just Hillariously pathetic.
I can't believe there still remains any doubt this meeting was planned , executed and happened behind the backs of Ministers and the Taoiseach, who clearly got wind of it through his PA , Chambers, who was sent to investigate, coming up with a rather childish excuse for his interruption of the meeting .
This happened folks , including #audiovisualcablesgate
It is all a bit strange. FF backbenchers and senators seem to realise that Martin is toxic for votes and has become too close to FG. O'Dea and O'Cuiv commenting was interesting in that they seem to realise which way things are going and would rarely comment without knowing that. McGuinness could always be relied upon for a comment. It is laughable to see some of the attempts by BA to deny reality. During the Covid lockdowns, there were some Zoom meetings of FFers who were less than pleased with Martin back then. There probably will be more such meetings before the FF Ard Fheis at the end of September. This appears to be the preamble to a leadership challenge. McSharry's claim about his vote in the MONC being bought is also a problem for Martin.
Correct jmcc, it's classic putsch stuff. Despite the denials here.
I actually feel sorry for Ryan. He wants to meet the Climate Action targets but you know full well that his own FFG TDs are going to block him and try to make a fool out of him. Most FFG TDs do not give a fiddlers about climate change, too concerned about votes.
I heard part of a speech he made in Tipp earlier to farmer's and he was as passionate as I've heard the man, interviewed afterwards still quite forthright and I sensed he was throwing shapes towards his alleged FFG colleagues. I've a feeling he's going to put his foot down on Agricultural emissions, this might be heading towards him doing FF Backbenchers bidding, even though a GE is the last thing any of them want. At this stage he's nothing to loose 🤔
Sitting TDs are generally against political climate change. :) That nutjobbery about culling the national herd and destroying agricultural jobs is going to be a major issue for rural TDs. It could even be an election winner for some who might otherwise lose their seats. There hasn't been anything like the Dutch protests here yet. There was a Kerry FG TD talking about banning SUVs in Ryan's constituency to let him know about his idea to restrict second cars for families if the Greens couldn't restrict agricultural emissions enough.
Are you trying to say MM is full of it?
The people wanted change he said...
I think that the Greens are being treated as lobby fodder by FF/FG. Perhaps Ryan thinks that he is doing the right thing but he is going to face massive opposition from FF/FG rural TDs. Even though the Greens have not threatened to walk, a GE would have a much greater impact on the Greens and they could be reduced to about 4 seats based on the current polling. It would also make any other political party very wary of including the Greens in a future coalition government. The refusal of David Cullinane/SF to be drawn in the issue was smart. This is an FFG problem.
@Beasty Why is that scam ad with Leo still appearing on here?
