How do you FOI unvouched expenses ?
MM getting very tetchy, Digging his heals in and digging a bigger hole (ironically, he was at Deansgrange Cemetery, when making some interesting comments
FFGG - Commited to wasting as much money as possible. €450 Million wasted on rent. I hope at the very least, these houses are at the high end of the market if they are going to waste around €450,000 per house and not own a brick of them.
Wonder whos buddy owns them 🤔
They are laughing at us.
Imagine it can take 2 years to investigate a simple leak to the media. They know bloody well who leaked it but they are hoping people will stop asking. Disgusting politics, they tried to control the narrative at the expense of the abuse survivors.
Catherine Connolly called it abuse heaped upon abuse and those 3 unwise men certainly felt her wrath.
A bit like Enda Kenny and his man with two pints?
Regards...jmcc
The government were warned NOT to ignore NPHET advice, yet they did and many people died and suffered who didn't have to.
Nphet also advised that a choice should be made between relaxing the rules on household visits and allowing the hospitality sector to reopen, as doing both would result in a spike in the virus.
Stating the government 'did well' is a hideous disrespect to those people and their families.
The government got some things right, took actions where people died as a result and got some things tragically wrong.
Government to ignore Nphet advice and allow gastro-pubs and restaurants reopen (irishexaminer.com)
Sure they are still letting god knows how many babies bodies lie in graves in tuam etc with no intention of getting anything done about it, kick the can down road
Sher wasn't Leo the plank, out and mouthing off, criticising NPHET at one stage. After he did a day or two on the phones. 🙄
Exactly...one minute NPHET were sacrosanct and above reproach, the next Leo was having a ding dong with them in RTE. The petty little battles confused everybody.
Story persists, being discussed on Drive Time now.
Plenty of people out there who claim they will fix your website, sort out your social media and take your money. Few of them actually can. It's all perfectly legal stuff which suddenly stops working for you when you stop paying them!
🤣🤣
Argance tbh, Someone did not faun over me like a celebrity but asked questions.
It's shocking , you'd think after all this Learning of Lessons, at least one mighf be learned by MM 😞
There is one odd thing about it all, there seems to be very few senior FF people willing to go out to bat for him. They had to get a former FF man on to talk positively about him and even he had caveats.
Boris had more willing to stand up for him.😁
He was hardly fixing their website. He was in charge of their social media campaign and was coaching them. Nothing stopped working except him, when he was arrested for federal crimes.
'Fixing their website'. 😁😁
Good observation, perhaps they've all left for their Holidays and checking Twitter for updates 😏
Thanks I will do.
Not quite up there with 'I run a home in Dublin, Castlebar and Brussels. I wanna tell you something, try it sometime when you have a couple of cars and three houses and three homes' but it's close. 😁
Or that one of your constituents had to sell the race horse due to heating expense. 🤣
Brilliant 👏 🤣
We were worst in the world. Saying it was for a short time doesn't mean we weren't. Also, it wasn't all rosey, worst in the world for a bit, all rosey, either.
If you are going to turn this into a 'certain opposition party', don't bother.
If "Leo thought it would be okay to run a load of anonymous accounts etc" wouldn't he have just went ahead and do it without asking?
But he didn't think it was okay and hence why it was discussed and then rejected.
One minute it is a housing crisis, the next we should be letting people sit on the street....
The government needs to rent while they build houses, we can only build so many houses per year. Plus we also have a situation that some parties are using the housing crisis to play games, blocking houses and apartments. This is delaying projects and of course people still need houses so this is to take up the short fall.
As I advise everyone, if you are so outraged about this, contact the opposition and tell them to stop blocking houses. It might not resolve the issue but it will certainly help!!!
So in other words we had a short time when it was bad in Ireland, so we should forget about all the work done by the HSE, Doctors, NPHET, Government, Gardai and most importantly the population because of that one period?
What a f**king ridiculous comment and an insult to all the sacrifices the population made and all the great work from the people in the HSE.
How quickly some people forget about the HSE staff, Im sure you bladdered on about clapping staff blah blah blah, now you just want to throw them under the bus to get a dig at the government. Disgrace.
We don't know if he did or did not. Not the kind of thing you put on the record or in the manifesto. We do know he wanted to.
The government needs to rent while they build houses, we can only build so many houses per year.
I do not believe even you believe this.
This was a suspicious excuse a decade ago ffs.
Point out two developments that were blocked and why. You always sell it like there's not reason. As I've said I support the blocking of bad plans. As does Leo Varadkar, or so he said, but likely NIMBYism in his case.
Edit
Ahh so the answer now is just lie because everyone knows that it was never introduced, pity it come to this.
@francie brady can provide the link. Any party, in government or not should not be blocking houses in the middle of a crisis.
Simple fact is Ireland needs houses, if we don't have them we need to rent them. That's what government is doing. If people want to complain about that, then the government should stop renting and just throw people onto the street? which would you prefer?
