Heavily reliant on the auld lads for scores today, Galway will win Leinster next year and KK will get done in the QF.
Limerick definitely closer to the pack than last year, as Clare and Galway already proved before today.
Didn't see much of the new hybrid style from KK, which they apparently perfected in 4 weeks before they met poor burnt out Clare.

Like I said. Kilkenny put in a top performance but came out 2nd best. All that matters now is that Limerick are All Ireland champions 2022. Take it as it comes nothing worse than a bad loser.

He did in fairness but Gillane did wreck then.
Hard luck KK. Gave it absolutely everything. Thought a hiding was on cards in first half, but ye just kept hanging in there and really put it up to them in second half. Few enough teams would have lived with Limerick today.
Hope those players get a good welcome home, they couldnt have given any more.

Anyway you'd have to be proud it was a very honest performance. We could of curled up after the goal went in like previous teams. Think we conceded 1-13 on last half foward like and ultimately we lost the match here. Between here and midfield we were wiped out unfortunately.
Thanks for the year I don't think many expected this at the start of the year.

Disappointing result but the better team won for sure. The lads deserve huge credit for hanging in there and putting limerick to the pin of their collar but we couldn't keep momentum going when we got level.
Difference in the game was Hayes and Hegarty in particular. How we allowed them to hit puck outs in front of them all day long without pulling lads back in front in beyond me. Hegarty pretty much beat us on his own. We should have forced limerick to go short.
Huge credit to Limerick. A fantastic team of hurlers with a huge physical presence also. So many similarities to the great kilkenny team.
Positives for us, Huw Lawlor best full back in country. Full back line held their own. Our bench contributed significantly. David Blanchfield when on looked more suited to hegarty and Hayes height wise.
Negatives, half back line and midfield cleaned out physically, forwards not winning enough ball and without TJ we are struggling.
Best atmosphere I've ever witnessed at an All Ireland. In fairness to KK support they really were vocal and limerick are a great bunch of supporters.
Fingers crossed we can get back there but opportunities in all Ireland are going to be less common for us

Paddy Deegan gave his all for Kilkenny today and tried his very best, Hegarty had the game of his life and no other KK defender would have handled him unless you took Huw Lawlor out to Wing back.
Limerick is on the crest of a wave (similar to KK from 2006-2015) and this crop only comes along now and again and in fairness Limerick can hurl.
Hard to feel sorry for Cody with the shite he went on with as regards Henry........ I said at the time he will get no luck for it and I was right.
