They can't we all know this they toss out whats the word they use.. Guff 🤣
funnily enough, plenty of people still will vote for ffg, believing in them and in what they are doing, and they should be allowed to do so....
A: The GE has not taken place.
B: The outcome is unknown at this time.
C: On current polling, SF is approaching the percentage needed for a majority government.
I've tried to make it as simple as possible for you but you keep trying to misrepresent what people say.
Regards...jmcc
The link is above.
We have one posters on here who has admitted they are part of the group on a thread.
Anyway this is not the opposition thread, I was responding to a direct question from a poster. That was it. If you want to discuss the opposition they have a thread.
‘Anonymous accounts’ can replicate themselves and deliver warped poll results that bear no relation to reality as the poll here in 2020 which delivered a massively exaggerated result for FG shows.
*It is you who is insisting in talking about the opposition.
It’s a sad day in politics but with the attack on that poor person by a political canvasser maybe it time they implemented a law to say anyone with a conviction is not allowed to canvass anymore
i certainly don’t think criminal should be allowed out around children and the elderly under the guise of canvassing
Any chance you can back up your claim that Leo's idea for anonymous accounts to praise/support FG was 'not implemented'?
Is this post referring to the FG man that attacked a member of the public (this is the thread for discussing FFG, right?)
Someone openly pushing for a party in person or online isn't a problem. Companies and parties all do it, smart ones anyway. Fake shill accounts are a problem.
The name escapes me but I remember it well. A FF team out canvassing and one of them elbowed a pensioner he thought was getting too close.
Edit: posted above
Lucky it wasn't a glass in face.
Member of public attacks man trying to get into a car, man responds
Its that sort of disgusting behaviour that has to be stamped out
We also had people roaring abuse at Leo etc. I think some of the TD in opposition had problems as well
This is the problem and an excellent video to show people over stepping the mark and attacking TD, it’s doesn’t matter what party is involved that should not happen.
The pensioner asked him a question and the pensioner got elbowed in the ribs.
Obviously that's not what happened. The incidents literally caught on camera, and all played out in the video above, like I'm lost here, why lie about what's on camera, what's that going to achieve?. Anyways, luckily it's a sunny day here, so rather than spend it with arguing with someone telling blatant, and easily demonstrated lies, about something that's literally on camera, I think I'll spend it in the back garden soaking up rays.
Life's too short to be wasted on the likes of disingenuous posting such as that, your posts are basically all just one great time sink.
Enjoy your day.
Latest Sunday Times/B&A poll:
All movements are within the +/- 3.3% Margin of Error. FG took the biggest hit (-2%). FF is down 1%. Coverage of Bacik's comments about building issues seems to ahve helped Labour but only marginally. The SocDems are back. These are relatively small sample sizes (1K or so) and the smaller parties with geographically concentrated support (SocDems, PBP, Aontu, Labour) can lose or gain points from poll to poll or even show 0% support.
Varadkar's approval is down 5 to 39%. Martin's down 3 to 47%.
The B&A polls are generally favourable to FF due to the face to face polling method. The other polls generally have FF lower than FG due to online polling not particularly favouring FF's older voter demographics. The interesting thing is that SF's % is quite consistent across the B&A, Red C, Ireland Thinks and Ipsos polls.
The 'member of the public' is a Fine Gael TD and the guy he attacks isn't trying to get into a car, he was just trying to ask a question. It doesn't look like the mans responds to me.
But I agree with you 🤯, this sort of disgusting behaviour has to be stamped out. Especially when it is a public figure, a politician who was voted in, that is acting like such a scumbag. They get away with acting like scumbags far too often but that was absolutely scandalous, disgusting behaviour.
Thanks @jmcc
Of all the parties that could cause problems for FFG, the SocDems are probably the one that few have noticed. FF/FG's third party of choice has always been Labour. The SocDems have taken a major section of what would previously been Labour voters but those voters would probably not want to vote Labour ever agan. Labour realises that the SocDems are an existential threat so that's why it wants to get its claws into them with all that talk of a merger. If the next GE results in a similary inconclusive result with no party winning an outright majority, FF and FG will probably still want to keep SF out of government but their path to power may well have narrowed because of seat losses based on the current polling.
I've said it before that I believe the SD have a real chance of increasing seats , obviously got the predictable jibes from someone who has a chip re Gary Gannon .
Bacik to be fair has made some decent contributions and deserves a little credit.
I wouldn't read to much into a 1% drop for SF and Leo will be Livid his popularity still droppingand at a faster pace it would seem. Surprised at Greens up 1 and yet ER down 5 . But continued dissatisfaction with government not at all surprising. I think Tensions between FF & FG are growing and gathering pace .
Criminals canvassing? Why would the government bother themselves with such trivial matters as that?
I've got to share this , I was surprised at the amount of comments , over 3,000 and had to take a look , it's Hillarious MM should stick to GAA 😁
The SDs have become the place where my vote rests now barring any tactical voting that may be required locally to help the ABFF cause.
Not a hope that they'd prop up either of FF or FG as a minority. They're in no rush to blow up and be destroyed. Their current electoral trajectory and pace is fine.
The next big challenge for them is the transfer of power to a new leadership team at some point after the next GE.
The same rule always applies, if you help FF go into govt then that's the end of you from my pov.
What was wrong with that tweet?
What percentage are the SDs looking at to cause FF &FG probs?
The comments, actually the Tweet perfectly harmless but the "Lifting the Nation" bit, certainly got some comical reactions.
The last thing the country needs is more of the same woke FFG policies on steroids- SDs are big government, anti worker/enterprise, pro mass migration, climate obsessed nanny state headballs. No thanks
I almost misread, thought you said Probes and thought not another Sinister Dossier being prepared 😁
Nothing
The comments under it from some people are embarrassing.
It's a pity that a few people who would like to communicate with the Taoiseach and share the celebration cannot because of the same online mob which think they should ruin the post.
Lol, the "Few" people who want to communicate with the Taoiseach, getting smaller by the week. It's doubtful he even knows how to tweet.
It was actually an embarrassing feel good attempt knowing sentiment in the country is not at all positive, he doesn't even like Rugby.
Quite a "Mob' , nearly 4k comments, even Leo would be envious of such a response, maybe not the type of responses, just the volumes 😏
I remember watching Gannon on an Oireachtas panel and he was very good. The problem is that his seat is vulnerable because of SF transfers. The SocDems have the chance become a vote magnet for the soft Left vote that would not vote SF. It may also attract some of the Green Left/issues type vote that accidentally ended up voting for the Greens due to the whole Greta Thunberg stuff. The Greens are far more Right of centre than the European Greens.
FF is beginning to find that Martin hadn't sold the party to FG. That's very bad news for Martin especially with old FFers like Willie O'Dea making statements like that. He didn't exactly attack Martin but framed it in terms of the FF party. The FF Ard Fheis is at the end of September, it is going to be a very long few weeks for Martin.
What are the odds of a heave on MM.
