FG now on their worst Ipsos/MRBI polling since 1994 at 18%.
They're fools if they don't dump Varadkar as their leader by December......and they won't.
Leader satisfaction ratings (I think) show Varadkar down 12 to 36% and Martin down 11 to 40%.

Satisfaction with the government was down 12 points to 31%.
Regards...jmcc
You seem very concerned for FG, a party which you clearly don’t support. If keeping Leo in the seat such a bad thing would you don’t be pushing for it so they will continue to lose voters?
I think you will find the people wanted “change” in the last election and the wasted vote was not on the independents.
Trust me . . . I want FG to keep their wannabe Thatcher, "Leo", as their leader for the next 20 years. He's literally finishing them off on his own.
They got change. FG and FF merged and flogging each other to an ever decreasing share of the vote.
Incredible polling. I wonder when and where they will bottom out.
FF/FG down a combined 7%. (FF -3% and FG -4%). SF up by 3%.
Have to step out, off to experience our health services , apologies for sharing the Traumatic news morning 😉
Really?
Can you explain to me why you compare "Thatcher" with Leo? would be interesting to see why?
By 2 seats, I think, based on the last opinion poll. This poll might not be so favourable for FG and the seat projections will upset FFG supporters.
What was going on n the country when FG hit this low before jmcc, do you know?
On a personal basis Varadkar hates people who his government are this morning classifying as "essential" - teachers, nurses, gardaí, medical staff etc. To him we are basically people on welfare (who naturally are also despised). He despises people paying rent but, ya know, their €2000 per month is someone else's pension (to quote him). I could go on . . . but don't want to encourage FG to get rid of him as he's doing a magnificent job.
I am no fan of Leo's and will never vote for him but that my poor fellow is the biggest pile of bulls**t I have seen in a while. Well since you tried to link the PIRA and the Irish government.
It was a year of ups and downs, Francie,
FF were dominating the political landscape and there was some optimism with the Ceasefire in the North. FF screwed things up in December 1994 and Labour, under Dick Spring, walked. Then FG and the Rainbow coalition got into power without a GE.
Fair enough. It's not bull**t to me and my colleagues or to 82% of voters out there. The damage that man has caused to Ireland on one issue alone, housing, is incalculable. 10,000+ homeless (nearly 4000 children) . . . but at least we've got a hospital opening in Benidorm to take account of Irish waiting lists as we close down Navan hospital.
Leo is trying to help resolve housing, so are all the government parties
So if you are concerned about housing then I suggest you contact your local opposition TD and ask them to stop blocking housing projects all over Ireland. You seem to be concerned about homeless people and the biggest blocker at the moment in Ireland to getting these people homes is the opposition
So will you contact your local opposition TD to ask them please to stop putting these people on the streets and stopping people on the streets getting the chance of a house
Ah yea. . . It's all the opposition's fault. Never "Leo's".
😂
You're wearing blinkers. After 100 years of FF and FG swapping power, they had to merge.
"Change" will be the joys and amusement of watching them run an election campaign in which they try and hoodwink the electorate into believing they're different from one another. They'll end up cannibalising each other for a seat.
I believe that's a "change" if you don't, that your own naivety.
He is probably one of the biggest mistakes the backroom elders of FG have made. They anointed him despite the votes of the membership.
FG needs to clear him and this secret cabal of electors out or be totally eclipsed.
In fairness FG have an electoral system which effectively ignores the votes of their members (who voted 2:1 for Simon Coveney). It's a totally rigged "election" as you can become a leader of FG without requiring a single vote from an ordinary party member (i.e. non-parliamentary).
Their own members could see what their councillors, TDs and senators could not . . . . and that is that Varadkar is a political loser.
Oh really? 😂
In every election FG has contested since Varadkar became leader, FG has lost seats. Perhaps he should be called Leo The Loser? FG certainly can't afford another one of his victories like 2020. If that loss of 4% played out in a GE, FG could lose more seats and end up in the mid 20s.
Yes, I’m not sure the plaintive cry of ‘but he’s trying to fix housing’ is going to work.
They are in a spiral, the ‘18 page dossier’ is not working.
Did I say that? No I didnt. Let’s try this again
As Francie pointed out yesterday the opposition are blocking houses.
We all know the government are trying to build houses
So if you are concerned about homeless you should ask the people blocking those houses to stop?
What exactly are you struggling with here?
It was one election….the most recent one FYI
He is the youngest person to be Taoiseach and also the first gay leader of Ireland
”Leo the loser” 🤦♂️
PS he will be Taoiseach in a few weeks won’t he? Who is the “loser” again? 🤣🤣🤣
You don't know what you're talking about. It's you who's struggling, not me. For a self-declared "no fan of Leo's and will never vote for him" you sure don't mind spouting out the same sh*te that he daily comes out with.
You want houses built on flood plains and crony developments. We get that.
Still haven’t answered my question:
why are you obsessed by housing blocked for valid reasons by the previous opposition?
Unfortunately it would seem it is you who “don’t know what you’re talking about”
Francid even provided the link with the details on the opposition blocking houses.
The people responsible for getting houses built over the past 11 years of FG government are the taoiseach, tanaiste and the Minister for Housing. End of story. They didn't bother their arses doing their jobs and now all they have is to blame the opposition as they sell off large swathes of housing stock to vulture funds who have never set foot in this country.
I'm done dealing with you. You're probably a SF troll trying to get me to point out the bleedin obvious.
Housing being blocked or housing plans being challenged is on all sides of politics. It's local politics at work and they really can't lose with their electorate. The NIMBY is strong in all of us when it suits us.
