You seem very concerned for FG, a party which you clearly don’t support. If keeping Leo in the seat such a bad thing would you don’t be pushing for it so they will continue to lose voters?
I think you will find the people wanted “change” in the last election and the wasted vote was not on the independents.
Leader satisfaction ratings (I think) show Varadkar down 12 to 36% and Martin down 11 to 40%.

we rank very very highly in the "national debt per capita" index also, with the government mooting even more expenditure in the next budget. Not only that we are over reliant on windfall corporation tax receipts which the government has continually used to commit to recurring expenditure. This leaves us us in a worse position to weather that as interest rates rise

We are entering a global recession. Ireland is in a better position than almost every country in the world to try and weather that. We rank 4th in the world on the UN Human Development Index. Everything is in context.
