Do you have a FF comment with a named TD?
The rest was nonsense as far as I was am concerned, the only bit of interest is you thinking the government after a win are under pressure when it’s the exact opposite
In regards the comments on labour, at this stage every party bar SF seems to be the same as the rest
FF and FG the same, Greens the same as Labour, Labour the same as FG just in the last few posts 🤦♂️
The RIC event was proposed by the previous government and yes you could say have an affect on the last election
Do opposition supporters think if they keep bringing it up all the time it will affect a different government and will have an affect in the next election?
Maybe you could answer because at this stage it seems to be an obsession with the opposition supporters
In your mind, perhaps, but the rest of us have to look at realities.
Even the experts conclude that the latest opinion polls will see FG increase their seats if the election was tomorrow.
Unfortunately, Dail time was wasted this week by a completely unnecessary and useless Motion of No Confidence. Very worrying for democracy that this is the case.
Nope, the monc which they dodged to create a moc, put them under pressure. They had to speak about themselves and scurry around looking for support.
I can only speak for myself. The greens need a rethink and an overhaul. Labour got too cosy with FG last time. FF/FG are the one party at this stage. SF, PBP, SDs and indies are our only chance. A token few Labour might work if they ditch bacik and return to Connolly style Labour
Tbf, any mention of it seems to touch a nerve with you. When its raised its in context. The bigger question is why don't you want it mentioned?
Links please
If you think SF getting a hammering after months of good result in polls put the government under pressure then sorry I can’t help
In regards RIC event, if you mentioned it once or twice you could claim that, but months now you and other fire it up when on the ropes.
Crazy obsession at this stage

What bill is this? BTW the Dail is scheduled to be working till 23.43 tonight. I wonder why?

July 2021 Sinn Féin 63 Fianna Fáil 39 Fine Gael 37
SF gaining support
Somebody called Harrys' blog? And this is the 'experts concluding'?????
😁😁
Hello, I’m Harry and I run this website. I’ve been active in Irish politics since 2014, working mostly in organisational management, policy writing and posting bad takes on Twitter.
I’m a former member of the Green Party, and served various roles within the party, including Chair of their policy council, and am currently a member of An Rabharta Glas.
I have a degree in political science, but I choose not to use it.
For the 3rd time I am speaking about the fact they had to account for themselves and by RTE's drive time right now, do a number of favours for support. Anything that shines a light on this government is welcome.
You will need to get over it B. It will come up.
The Green lad who owns the site has a FAQ;
How accurate are these projections?
I don’t know. Making projections under a multi-seat PR-STV system is a nightmare. It’s probably better not to think of this as a forecast in and of itself, but rather an experiment in finding a functional methodology that can make seat projections in Ireland with at least some accuracy.
It was a MONC in Harris (a terrible Health Minister, achieved nothing) that force Leo to go for the early election. It was his own fault because he failed to deal with the Bailey (& Madigan) transgressions and Bailey threatened to vote against Harris. It was comical stuff really and cost FG a lot of seats.
So no proof then, just some random politically affiliated bloggers WordPress
BS.
Why did they table a counter motion if they were so stuck for time?
What amazing legislation was held up yesterday? All ears 😉
It took FG 8 years to legislate for a mass grave of children in Tuam.
Maybe they can use the lack of time excuse to shoehorn in some more last minute legislation that feathers their nest e.g. the last-minute amendment from the housing minister to the Electoral Reform Bill to allow political parties obtain lottery licences for political fundraising.
New Politics Fine Gael style!
Bailey couldn't be swung with a deal for her 'parish' and the government fell on it's own sword with the Black and Tan mess still fresh in the electorate's minds.
Leo always delivers 😁
The problem with that is that while it is a good site, the polls since GE 2020 have all been national polls with small (1k) sample sizes. This means that they may not extrapolate to constituency level. This is obvious with the projections for the Independents where local issues drive votes. FF on 39 seats might be upsetting for FG but not as upsetting for both FF and FG as the Greens on only 1 seat. Bacik/Lab losing in DBS and O'Callaghan/FF retaining his seat might be about right. There's also an issue with mixing polls using different methodologies. B&A uses face to face polling and has FF higher than others. RedC uses a 40K panel which it thinks represents the electorate. Ireland Thinks uses a random sample. RedC and Ireland Thinks use online polling. It is an interesting site and probably a better model than most.
A projection of FG gaining 2 seats is not exactly a massive increase.

Because they didn't do what Catherine Connolly told them and kept waffling! 🤣
It really sums up Varadkar's lack of leadership. To give Enda Kenny his due, he put in the hard yards on the rubber chicken circuit rebuilding FG after Noonan's disaster in 2002. It was Martin who effectively made Varadkar taoiseach in 2016 with the C&S and he repaid the favour in 2020. FG really needed to stay out of government and rebuild.
My plan was to see the lay of the land and when did I ignore the result. I had no need to comment as the people spoke and said they did not want an election and I can respect that, so try and twist that into something else.
Martin was on Primetime last night saying there was no side deals for the Independants, most people knew it was a load of bollix but Mark MacSharry was on Drivetime this evening and said straight out that he got a deal for Sligo Hospital as the price of his support for the Government.
Ending Direct Provision is going well anyway
The realities, a deepening housing crisis which has resulted in no more room at the inn for Ukrainian's, a Covid wave where we don't know the actual number of cases in Ireland and lastly a health service that is not fully fit for purpose. Are these the realities that you speak of?
The City West signed a 2 year deal to process and accommodate Ukrainian refugees, there was no mention of asylum seekers being accommodated here, the headline is a little misleading.
What has clearly happened here , is there's no room left at the Inn called Ireland, there's literally nowhere to house asylum seekers, these Tents will presumably be used temporarily to house asylum seekers at this location. Not only is just appalling , there was a riot in the Red Cow Hotel a month ago ,it was used temporarily to house, on its ballroom floor , I'll repeat , Ballroom floor , a group of asylum seekers the government agreed to take in pre pandemic, over 500. 150 now accommodated in a hotel in Kinnegad.
This is sadly another Government policy, admittedly adhering to a poorly constructed EU directive, going pear shaped . No infrastructure, No accomodation , no one in charge and its only the second week in July , absolutely Bonkers and ultimately it will be Refugees and Asylum seekers who'll suffer.
Absolutely disgraceful.
I just quoted your previous post
I’m not twisting anything, you are just ignoring the results of your own thread because you didn’t get the response you wanted.
P.S. if you respected it you wouldn’t mention an election before 2025 if you are struggling to see the issue
Everyone knows the government won't last till 2025 so stop with the BS of not respecting the results.
The government had to account for themselves? 😂😂
To who?
You created a thread asking if people wanted an election, the result says people don’t want it
So the result of your thread says the government will last till 2025.
Can you explain to everyone what is confusing you on this topic?
BA , I've actually no idea what your referring to, I know fully , from the time these Asylum seekers arrived, the arrangements that were in place, were they were put temporarily, how they ended up in Kinnegad, the entire circumstances. I'm not going to discuss it here, I've responded to a post about the latest development in City West, which again , I'm fully aware of the arrangements there and the venue itself .
My point made, not going to get into a tedious back anymore forth about am unrelated post or issue you have, I don't do FB, left it years ago.
Everybody. You did listen/watch the proceedings I take it? Did you not hear them poorly trying to explain themselves and the opposition state the issues they saw? Did you hear Drivetime on RTE today? Interesting section on the favours given to secure votes of confidence.
There's no angle or people they won't use to make themselves a few bob. 'The best people'.
