And the lads and lassies here have the pulse of the country. They claim to hate Twitter and SM and rubbish polls but they know how the 'da people' are thinkng.
How do they do it? Set out two pint traps? Divining rods? A real mystery. 😁
Why lie about it though?
It's the hypocrisy that will be seen plainly. 'We won't do deals with Independents' ROFL!

O indeed, there's many ways to look at the result (I never thought it would succeed but disspointed at the Margin, albeit not surprising given the last minute Shenanigans)
29 TDs Joined SF for the motion, not much less than FFG have each.
But the result was never in doubt, glad however it was an opportunity to hear a reminder of the shambles the past year has been, it was certainly no waste of time, it was Democracy at work and that's how it should be 😉
Next up Budget, The Dail (if things continue as expected) will return to an even bigger mess.
'Horse trading with people's lives' is the stand out quote there.
Poor Marc, he's so Naive, God bless his cotton socks 😁
Dare I say it's a little more than Hypocrisy 😉
😂😂 You couldn't make this up
One good thing today was Micheal Martin stating the report into the leaking of the mother and baby homes report will be available by the end of the year
He still dosnt know who it was though he stated
So a massive defeat for SF.
How would they read the room when it is full of bots.
For all the blowing on here it was as anticipated. I seen more interest online from real people in FF announcing about the TV license
Every single journalist is reporting and commenting on it non stop all day ffs
A few observations on today's events
1) Why was there ever any doubt the two green TDs would vote with the government? Surely they want to regain membership of their pp when the six months is up. I know Hourigan publically stated she hadn't decided yet when asked about the weekend. For all the talk of losing a majority, the government never really did.
2) I'm not a fan of pork barrel politics but some independents have used their vote wisely and obtained commitments from government. There'll be serious questions asked in Waterford re cardiac care after McSharry's deal but ultimately the government only needs to have a few independents on side. Why do we need a frivolous Dáil motion and counter motion for the people of Sligo to get access to better healthcare? And while not a fan of pork barrel at least we know what McSharry got. Peter Fitzpatrick referred to making sure the government honours its promises. What promises did it make?
3) The defence announcement. Welcome additional spending to increase capabilities but find it surprising that the government could make commitments re pay increases for defense forces staff while they're at an impasse with the wider public sector. Only giving ammunition, pardon the pun, to other unions.
And that appalling, Scurrilous, Cesspit that is Twitter is on fire with reaction to tonights Vote and contributions from the Government Benches, few positive. Robert Troy's bizzare Mayhem and Chaos comments getting great reactions, but not quite what he'd hope for 😉
what's a bot?
Good observations.
I don't think there was much doubt re the two naughty Green TD'S, I'll admit I though Nessa might throw a spanner in the works.
Independents have actually been quite naive in my opinion, they've been promised little than can be realistically delivered. Marc Mc Sharry just embarrassed himself.
The defence spending promises in essence, pie in the sky stuff, we can't even staff our navy ships, Coveney essentially kite flying and Keeping Cathal Berry on side, actually the most disgusting stunt of the day.
Yes BA, the 'real' people have the TV licence situation not changing at all foremost in their minds. The one item would have mattered was denied. We still have to pay for a licence. TBF, if you've no home you don't need a TV licence.
ROFL Makey up stuff won't cut it. If you have found a corner of the internet where the TV licence is taking precedence over the shennanigans in the Dáil, direct us to it. Otherwise stop the porkies.
Great entertainment today. Good reminders too. What a litany of failure.
But thankfully the show goes on. Reap what you sow...
Bewildering Obsessional Tosh 🤔
Just a guess mind you 😁
Martin on Prime Time tonight, wonder will he be asked about his lie about not doing side deals.
He will in his eye
The Defence budget increases were timetabled to be considered before the summer recess, since as far back as February.
Sinn Féin's motion of no confidence was lodged last week. Only one stunt on show today boss and it came from the opposition benches.
Any commet made by anyone who doesn't agree with BA.
Boss, I'm familiar with that expression and bemused you can call a complete stranger that.
I'm fully aware of Coveneys kite flying re expenditure increases as too are rank and file members of the defence forces and its pie in the sky stuff. My main point is the embarrassing spectle of Cathal Berry waiting for commitments already given before he'd disclose if he was voting Confidence, basically a charade, he's essentially not independent and never really has been.
I disagree with your cynicism but I think that we should all keep our eye on how defence matters progress. The government didn't need Berry's vote so I disagree that it was a stunt. Berry isn't a fool either. He doesn't see today as anything special, just a step in the right direction. I think he'll be a thorn in the government's side when he needs to be.
Fair enough but Berry is a one Trick Pony (Defence Forces) which is fair enough but its clear he was playing games and was interviewed about his intentions and said quite categorically he was waiting for commitments on spending and allowances for members.
Very well said Darragh O Brien. Great statement today in the dail.
Somebody who does not agree with the government.
