Imploding? Me, no all good here but thanks for caring. I referred to a motion of confidence as a response to a motion of no confidence as not being at all unusual when the poster drew attention to it. Anyway very calmly moving on once again.
At least Sinn Fein have more than double digit TDs and whether you agree with them or not, they have a mandate and are the opposition, but labour trying to say they don’t have confidence in FF/FG/Green, when the electorate have zero confidence in the Labour Party which is shown by the phone box number of TDS.
Sinn Fein's motion of no confidence has already led to increased army allowances, commitments on cardiology services in Sligo and Sligo getting added to the mica redress scheme
They should do this more often
You know what you did. The kind of behaviour twitter is accused of encouraging. If you can relate it to how government ministers went scurrying around to try win over so called indies, you might resurrect some credibility. Otherwise you are just name calling.
The jester is in the nip.
By the latest interactions from their mouthpieces on here it seems they are nervous and lashing out. They won't lose, but maybe its being marginally held to account or being put under a spotlight has them uneasy.
The 3 unwise men look uncomfortable in the Dail. They even cut to Lowry who looked very shifty.
The defence budget increase timing seems odd to me. How can it be a sudden priority given the disasters we have in health and housing? Why was that announced today?
Jesus Christ, what is wrong with you folks today? You're losing your marbles. Utter drivel about nothing all day long.
Cockroaches Cockroaches Cockroaches...please hit the Sillyness reset button
Whilst you've clearly not an iota of a clue about the states appalling history regarding its approach to Mothers and Baby Homes, Operation of Industrial schools, Scandal over illegal Birth registration and adoptions and in my case, State Care, I'll forgive your lack of awareness but don't be so glib and Naive
Corruption perhaps not but Duplicity & Negligence absolutely, The State essentially farmed out, what they deemed troublesome, societal issues to the church and religious orders for decades.
There was absolutely complicity, Gross negligence, dereliction of responsibility and convenient ignorance of illegal behaviour and quite frankly monstrous savagery.
But it actually got worse in the 1970"s when infact the state through various Health Boards actually took an oversight roll in the running of various institutions. Bad enough they ignored what was going on for decades but then to actually have first hand and inside knowledge for at least 20 more years and still not act, is beyond shocking.
Whilst the appalling abuses may not have been carried out by previous governments they were absolutely complicite and turned a blind eye for decades.
Folks can twist and Turn their understanding of History, the fact remains, there's an appalling stain on Irelands History and no previous government or Political party involved in those governments escapes blame.
To this day, FFG are still trying to hide facts whilst offering half hearted apologies, it's disgusting. Roderic O Gorman does not escape criticism, he has no Blame to apologise for, nor his party and yet still reluctant to release all the facts and put obstacles in victims way, that quite frankly is unforgiveable and I've no doubt being encouraged by FF particularly and FG.
This is an emotive subject and I only mention it because this current government has Role to play but clearly, still not getting it.
The replies to the FG twitter vider are hilarious to see. Such a nonsense video.
Such pettiness blanch. How low.
Still can't find it would you care the quote the post were it was made? Thanks very much.
It is spelled "cockroaches" so your search wouldn't have revealed anything.
No blanch, they were likening the 'scurrying' of a cockroach to the 'scurrying' of a politician.
There used to be Ladybird books that have loads of these in them as a teaching aid. 'Similes' blanch, look them up.
Hold on a sec, acoording to some posters on here I thought twitter was some sort of sewer that anything posted there was to be ignored? Has this changed now that FG are posting there?
Also I have been using the search function to find where TD's were called "cockroches" and haven't found it, can it be pointed out?
That makes it better. You are clarifying that the poster meant that they had the characteristics of cockroaches, but he wasn't actually comparing them to cockroaches or calling them cockroaches.
That emperor is bare-naked now.
No, you used a comparison that made no sense, as has been pointed out. 'Scurrying' is not a defining feature of a paedophile.
You need to, along with BA, look up what a simile is.
'run like a cheetah'
'howl like a wolf'
If you use the above similes you are not calling somebody a cheetah or a wolf.
It's basic English blanch.
If you didn't have a problem with SF stunt tactics, why would you have a problem with FF/FG stunt tactics?
You have been praising SF for their posturing, why are you criticising the government for theirs?
It is unbelievable stuff. The hiding behind a simile shows the poverty of the standard of debate that certain posters want to uphold.
I used another simile to show the emperor had no clothes again. A poor debating tactic to hide behind a simile to say something like that about TDs. The source could have been predicted.
Complete nonsense.
Serious corruption which has led to the deaths and incarceration of many people??? What nonsense are you spouting? If you have any evidence of criminal behaviour, off you go and report it. Making things up isn't a good look.
It certainly seems that as the feverish expectation of a motion of no confidence being passed was flushed away with an icy bucket of water, that a number of people seem to be left shivering with anger. A lot of it around.
Some one should talk to Leo, seems he's appearing in all sorts of strange adverts.
Its disgusting. Kicking the can of respect for dead babies down the road for optics. Shameless.
Its a stunt (and a nothing burger as our americanised friends like to say) until its not it seems.
Very slick but nauseating video and my word on Twitter of all places, I don't think I heard any mention of their coalition partners, how ungracious 😁
I hope that's a Verified Account 🤔
Even for you BA, the level of engagement is very very poor.
I just thought you weren't keeping up or perhaps missing the obvious.
Thought you might enjoy this little Faux Paux from earlier 😉
I'm guessing the won't hand it over all in one go though...
And you tried at first to deny that it is a standard tactical political move and portray it as uniquely (to Sinn Fein) foolish when it has been used by all.
You are imploding here.
Or people buried in mass graves in places like Tuam which FF and FG don't want to deal with
Fine Gael getting hammered by the public again.
That's the problem with FF/FG folk - they think that terrorists wear balaclavas rather than suits in government buildings. The history of Ireland since independence has been a sad and sorry story which has led to what it is today - a desperately corrupt country full of shysters & gombeens where the sins of their past are brushed under the carpet.
