Trust you blanch to weaponise what every party does - tries to win whatever seat is available.
Since when did an electorate, regardless of their political beliefs come to be described as Mobs , I always understand we live in a Democracy, perhaps some don't agree with such a concept 🤔
I wonder how often it has happened here that a sitting government loses their majority before mid term?
I've seen it all before. . . . parties in government running from the electoral process because they know they're poison. We all remember FF/Greens tried to keep the sorry show on the road during 2008-2011 and ended up having to have an early general election because the small matter of FF bringing in the IMF and nearly bankrupting the country happened.
The same happening again. Varadkar & Martin are political losers and the longer they stay in government the worse their eventual result will be.
In the meantime we can all look forward to a former failed taoiseach, Varadkar, who led his party in 2020 to their worst electoral performance since 1948 returning to the office of taoiseach as the leader of the third largest party in DÉ.
There's a poll has just started on that Scurrilous Twiiter , actually astonishing Albeit early yet. Asked of there was a GE in 2022.
Roughly 1000 votes so far , 19 hrs to go .
Who would you vote for..
8.5% Current Government
22% SF
65% Aontu & Independents (WOW )
2% Labour/SD/PBP
You understand describing behaviour or traits, is not describing a person/people as an animal right?
If someone said you were feigning outrage here to deflect, hanging on to this like a dog with a bone, would they be describing you as a dog?
Stop the pretence of being silly.
The absurdity of Twitter summed up accurately in one post.
Unless you were posting that to have a laugh at the Twitter account, I don't know why you bothered.
A yes the Absurdity of Twitter Blanch , Leo and his Motley crew would disagree with that assumption entirely.
The Poll actually confirms a diverse opinion , even I'm surprised at the early results but actually more surpised 8.6% would actually vote this government back in 😏
Edit
Sorry Blanch, FFGG Down to 8.2 %
Picture of the morning.
Elections are necessary when a government loses its democratic mandate or majority in DÉ and that happened last week for FF/FG/Greens as they turfed out their own TDs by removing the whip for not shutting up as doing as they're told. The current governing parties have a majority of -1. In other words if the only people voting to prevent a general election were FF/FG/GP then they would lose and a general election would occur.
Of course this won't happen as they know they have the vote of a criminal like Michael Lowry
Minority governments too can function well. The government will not lose this vote and that's all that matters. Parties all have rules about following the whip and suspensions and/or expulsion are common punishments. Apparently only the PDs ever allowed votes of conscience without losing the whip.
You make yourself look even more absurd by following such a Twitter post. You obviously don't have a clue how opinion polls should work.
Of course anyone with political knowledge and experience knows that it's not 'all that matters' and that MONC's are frequently tactical and warning shots fired ahead of a budget.
How that works out with this one is yet to be seen.
To be fair, there are more criminals on the opposition benches. At least FG kicked Lowry out. O'Snodaign, Ellis, Doherty etc. are all still criminal members of SF.
Kicked him out to keep up appearances...'tis business as normal with him since.
Politics is about getting stuff done, not showboating.
SF are going to lose this one, again.
What is it now? 4 or 5 of these they have lost in a row?
A fair point yet I'd be of the opinion that FF/FG, in their history, have caused more damage to this country than the IRA.
Not actually true, most of them have been at a time of political chaos and scandal and were commonly countered with a motion of confidence. It will not pass is how this will work out.
Maybe we can pay them to sit in a field and stare at the sky General Francie?
Corrrect. Uber dont operate in Ireland at all.
Im of the opinion they should, but to say Uber got their way in Ireland is patently false and again a nothing burger.
Alright, I will just accept that you won't see how they all use this tactically and as a warning shot. You are in ultimate defense mode. We'll see how it all plays out.
Charming Blanch, get out of the wrong side of bed this morning 🤔
I'm not even a political Junkie
So why are you posting in a political thread morning, noon and night?
The Dail goes into recess in two days. This so-called warning shot will be forgotten by next Monday.
Read the post Marko , you really need to slow down, digest posts you jump on before quoting and responding .
You think an under equipped army at the moment just sit and stare at the sky? Any data on that?
Yeh sure it will. We were told it was meaningless yet we saw and the electorate saw the government scrambling around trying to secure votes, that will absolutely temper their plans for the budget as they risk losing more TDs over board.
Absolutely naive to think otherwise.
Are you positive Michael D would refuse after the Housing Disaster speech? That power has never been invoked before.
There should be no room for using terms like 'cockroaches' in Irish political discussions. NONE!
Check yourself FFS
And some people think Twitter is a serious forum for discussion.
LOL, just LOL.
Nah that was your tactic for defending our state. Pay them first, right? To sit in a field or a shed or a wood.... but we should not and cannot upgrade our equipment.
