Will dessie be kept on?
Yeah they were and with 10 seconds to go there was nothing in it. Without one of the top three in Ireland.
What's with this self hating shite? We've all the right in the world to be annoyed. Let us be glum for a sec.
I am dissapointed because we had a chance to hit the front late on whether it would have been deserved or not means nothing . The lack of composure and if we had fouled further down the pitch we might have avoided the loss .It was a great kick to win it but it was a shot to nothing not the same as having to score to tie it up .
If it had gone to extra time I imagine Dublin would have won. So it was a pressure shot.
Well we will never know but at least for him they would have had twenty mines to play so a miss would still leave them in it .i am sure also KERRY would have had a spell in extra time as well so it would have been hard enough to call the winner .
Contact with the head. Red
By far the better team? Dublin had created more chances and more turnovers more possession, yep kerry were more accurate but i think saying by far the better team is a bit of a joke. I sincerely doubt your a dublin supporter or perhaps just have no knowledge of football which is fine.
It was the first half wides that beat Dublin.
Exactly so calling Kerry by far the better team is plain thick.
The funniest thing about the O’Shea kick to the head is that people are calling it a follow through, kick with the right, follow through with the left. Clearly deliberate. Straight red.
Headbutt ....red card
Nobody said follow through......... trailing foot, trailing foot, trailing foot,
It was the most fûcking obvious red card offence committed this year… yet several officials conspire to not want to give it, embarrassing .it was a deliberate kick to Evans face…watch till the very end, left boot.
Ball there to be won. EC sprung forward into SoS attempt to kick the ball. He was far enough away to avoid contact, his head butt as well was despicable
What a save it was.
Haven't seen game back, hear pen was soft
I suppose the question is on duty of care. He couldn't avoid his head cos his other foot was on his arm. Red, not for me, but a clear yellow
I had no problem with O'Sheas actions to be honest. The ball was there and he swung a boot at it. His right leg went over the top and his trailing leg stood on Comerford brushing the face. Free out yes but it would have been a soft yellow for me. The Dublin response stank to high heaven of what players used to get up to with Dermot Connnolly. They knew O'Sheas importance and created a schmozzle to put pressure on the referee. Not a fan of that **** or Evan Comerford faking injury. Him hitting the deck prior to the penalty was pathetic.
The penalty decision itself is what i'd take issue with. When Paddy Small was through on goal (where Kilkenny pointed the rebound) he shipped a far worse hit but stayed on his feet. No free, penalty, nothing. Kerry attackers know when to hit the deck and the referee rewarded them.
EC sprung forward into the path of his movement. TBH it was brave by EC. But from the still you can see if EC had not moved then SoS would go over his legs. It he had to just like soccer goalies do every day.
He saved it but contact was more his fault than SoS. If it was outside the box it should be a second penalty. But it was inside. No drama just both committed
Yes i would agree with this. I think O Se was well entitled to have a kick at the rebound and any contact with Comerfords head or body was more accidental than intentional imo.
I agree, both committed (I thought differently in the stadium) but yellow should have been given I think. Given Comerfords random and insane run a few minutes later was sure he was concussed.
No intention, but it was potentially nasty.
GAA is becoming too much for one referee, it's too fast and too much going on..
Was the last one a free btw?
Ya it was. Byrne knew what he was doing. Kerry had an overlap if Clifford managed to turn around. It was 53m out. Fitzsimmons would probably have stood Clifford up.
Will he want it ?
Cheers
What a game, thought we'd get a cutting but in it till the end, all without Con. Its games like that you live for
Kerry deserving winners. Can have zero complaints!
Thought Dublin weren't fully with it for 50 mins, had a spell for 15 mins that rocked Kerry but, overall no one can have any complaints
Leinster Champions, All Ireland semi finals, with no one really coming through at under age level...
He will 100%
If he wants it ?
Commiserations to Dublin... a great game in fairness as it nearly always is between Us and The Dubs... reminded me of the 2011 all Ireland final except this time it was Kerry who got the free at the end and won it with the last kick of the game... so many similarities with 2011 game.. Kerry getting an early goal... Sean Shea possibly lucky to finish the game... in the same way as Ger Brennan was lucky to finish game in 2011... Kerry looking comfortable only for the dubs to come back and level.. exactly like 2011... and then the ending...
great game I just hope our lads realise that we have nothing won.... and we must remember that the Dubs were minus one of the top 5 forwards in the country... who was a massive loss...
Also true but, that wasn't asked
No worries on that score - both Jack O'Connor and Paddy Tally will be ramming home about that 15 minute spell where we really faded out of the match! Commiserations to Dublin - you put up the resistance that would be expected of a truly great team, and whenever Dubs travel to Tralee, you're generally some of the most knowledgeable and fair-minded fans in the game, so I'm sure it'll be nip and tuck between us again next year.
