They shouldn’t be warning them at all.
These toerags know they’re breaking the law.
AGS need to start tackling the problem in housing estates.
Good that the Gardai have come out with a statement telling people that there was plenty of warning on the Croke Park website and that they’ve no tolerance to illegal parking on match days. Wish they had no tolerance all the time
That looks delightful
tweet has been deleted, this was it:
I sent video to Dublin City Council parking unit of a builder cutting one of their clamps off in town a couple of years back. They had no interest in it.
Replies on twitter talking of people cutting the clams off. Surely there are repercussions for that?
Do clampers check for tax, NCT and valid insurance?
This has made my day.

Absolute vermin.
Ppl laugh but in any developed country that person would be reported to police, the footage would be reviewed and they'd never see their car or drivers licence again. Our anti consequence culture must change

It's brilliant that an article about how hard drivers have it now, actually includes a photo showing a Rolls Royce!
Thoughts and prayers….

Interesting article...
I'm not the only one seeing a parrot, am I?
..
was just joking. a pedestrian crash is two people bumping into each other.
Under-recorded or under-represented?
to be fair, pedestrian crashes are significantly under-recorded in the statistics.
erm 🙄

Update on the pedestrianasation of George's Street in Dun Laoghaire (click tweet for full thread)
DCC tweeted some before & after shots of Capel Street today
By the way, if anyone has time, a short email to citycentreprojects@dublincity.ie thanking them on their work on Capel Street would go a long way. They've had to put up with a lot over the past few weeks. Direct positive feedback could do wonders.
No but I would use the Jervis Street multi-storey car park or the car park beside the astro pitches near the fruit & veg market.
Unsurprisingly, Capel Street is very popular.

I was there yesterday, great atmosphere, but yes there's nowhere to park bikes on the actual street that I'm aware of.
Some of the stuff online is priceless, "Pedestrians walking on the street" lol
Hang on - I was under the impression that you could not be a customer of a jewellers if you cycled there
That's brilliant
Haha brilliant.

In today's Irish Times. Are these people for real. And what concern is it of a guy in Letterkenny if a street in Dublin is pedestrianised.
Sir, – The Government’s endless and reckless pedestrianisation of urban areas needs to stop. Covid-19 decimated towns and city centres throughout the country and forced us to shop online.
Now with the country reopening, and businesses finally getting back on their feet, we are seeing streets closed in favour of hipsters with frappuccinos.
The pedestrianisation of Capel Street in Dublin is just the start. Where will they pedestrianise next? The M1? – Yours, etc,
AARON CUNNINGHAM,
Letterkenny,
Co Donegal.
there need to be bike racks everywhere though, for the quick trip into town. I was on Nassau street this morning, at a jewellers…..not going to stick my bike in jervis and walk over. Defeats the whole purpose of cycling. There is not a single bike rack as far as I can tell from Suffolk street, across the bottom of grafton street, all the way down Nassau street. They need to be everywhere
