Not at all, far from it. Darragh is a good friend of mine, hence why I know when his birthday is.
Happy Birthday Dempo, I'm only one Guinness down, so I guess I'm a bit late to the party, I was doing some covert ops on O'Brien and Varadkar. Terribly boring stuff, but it has to be done.
🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🎂
55 down and many more to go, may they be filled with the decline of FFG, in particular their current form, the removal of chumocracy, cronyism and other forms of corruption.. (we can wish).
Have a good one 🤗
Like they did in the last boom that was around housing. Remind us where the Regulation was then and what happened after the crash.
Always best to read past the headline
where purchasers are “strongly recommended” to seek “independent financial and legal advice if applying for this product”
Buyers are also warned the equity they owe may increase if house prices rise.
Standard warnings and it would be amiss of the government not to include all warning in the leaflets.
Or maybe you think people shouldn't get independent financial and legal advice when buying a house?
What could possibly go wrong
Happy birthday Darragh 😁
I think the obsessions reside else where tbh. Surveillance ROFL
did I say that? 🤦♂️
Just another excellent example of opposition supporters obsession with government TDs….
Thanks Francie, a boards legend, you'll go blind searching that Dark Web 😁
😂😂😂, I will and thank you xxxxxl 😉
Happy Bday, Watch out for them Black choppers. 🤣
Thank you jmcc, love your words of wisdom and excellent analysis, particularly on polling 😉
Happy birthday Dempo. Found out about your birthday on the deep dark web!
Congrats and Happy Birthday.
Regards...jmcc
Unless your saying the Gov invented the Vaccine I can't see how. Protracted lockdowns did little. Irish people themselves took the decision to get vaccinated upto 90% Other Gov's and jurisdictions had nowhere near that so Gov has no impact on levels of vaccination.
Where do you think the info on birthdays came from, surveillance?
ROFL gas man/woman
O dear even a bit of parody about birthdays causing offence 🙄
yet soon after we have information on a government TDs birthday
Im still trying to figure out why this is relevant to any discussion but seemingly it’s of interest to some people
Saving thousands of lives during covid to start….
Thank you, 55, hard to believe, made it this far 😂 and I just checked it is his birthday 😳 the only thing I'd have in common with him 😉
I don't believe so either which is why I asked, I wanted to see what the FFG supporters would say on here.
On a positive note Happy Birthday and I hope all the people who post on here will wish you likewise.
And that's what scares political parties. The idea that people could talk to each other and exchange views without an overpaid and underintellected team of spindoctors telling people what they should believe destroyed the power structure represented by the media. With the media of decades ago, the government of the day only had to influence a few people to get a story across. With SM, that kind of control is gone. That's why Varadkar was quoted as proposing fake accounts to talk up government policies and FG policies being 'liked' by bot accounts in India and Pakistan.
More so. Its social media, emphasis on the social. Its a platform for the public to interact. The views are no different in the pubs and bingo halls.
Hey look, we're number three on another list...
Rent increases in Ireland since 2010 third highest in EU
Apart from the heavily ideologically driven and geographically concentrated parties like PBP, many of the current opposition TDs were elected partially on SF transfers. That means that in a GE where those transfers are not available, it will be much more difficult for those TDs to be reelected.
That claim by an FFer in that meeting that FF had become transfer toxic was interesting. The effect of transfers disappearing was demonstrated with the collapse of Labour in 2016. It had always depended on transfers from FF and FG. There were other factors in Labour going from 37 seats in 2011 to just 7 in 2016. The general FF sentiment, based on that meeting, is not exactly pro-FG despite Martin sacrificing the party for his own ambition to be taoiseach. SF does not seem to be pissing off the other opposition parties. The FFers seem to be getting tired of Martin's appeasement of FG. Some of them might have considered a coalition with SF after 2020 preferable except that SF did so well in terms of seats. FG, being the weaker party, was more attractive to FF and left Martin be taoiseach for half the government's term. SF has emerged as the leading party of the opposition despite the attempted rehabilitation of Labour by the media. The media, I think, preferred the old Tweedledee, Tweedledumb and Tweedledumber 2.5 party model of FF/FG/Labour. Some columnists act like it, rather than the Big Three model, is still the dominant model in Irish politics.
I don't believe it's possible I share my birthday with this chancer 😳😏
Renamed passport express is the main one!
MM and Darragh O'Brien whose birthday it is today said they look forward to listing out all the government's achievements. Can any of the government supporters on here list these so called achievements?
I find it funny that the two green TDs who lost the whip say that they have been left in limbo.
Personally I see the Greens as the weakest link.
I personally see an election in 2023.
On what issue?
About time people got over SM. It is as much a part of politics as tallymen and pollsters.
It might be of interest for certain columnists as they really have nothing better to talk about. A certain Indo political opinion writer tops that list every time. SM is really a place where people just don't know any better and it makes even the worst of engagements on here seem like a Mensa discussion! Yes it is all about SF and news cycles and will be over just as quickly. I'm not sure trying to piss off the rest of the Opposition is smart if that is what this genius plan is about, one day they may be needed.
Get up the Yard , I love it....
I quoted how it can be interpreted (look up its meaning), not what thought it was intended to mean ,but actually on reflection it's just an embarrassingly silly expression.
