It is not how it's done , in the House of Lords yes , Lord Helistine in outside infomal conversation or Michael to friends. Kay seems to think she's applying for a role in Dowton Abbey. I've not heard a single journalist, interviewer, ever refer to a member of the house of Lords as My Lord, My Lady when interviewing a Lord or Baroness.

Bojo is either looking to run up an expense bill for the next few months or he thinks he can swing this back once the dust settles.
If he's quitting I can't see why he wants to hang around while they vote a new PM in.
Personally I thought he had 2 hurdles the Covid party investigation and the May elections. I didn't think he would go for at least a year after surviving those.

I laugh any time I think of Johnson firing Gove. It was utterly pointless, only serving as some petty gesture on his part and has made something of a martyr out of Gove. Gove is another detestable individual but I begrudgingly admire him for playing the game so well.
As for potential leaders, Sunak or Javid would be my bet for a (relatively speaking) safe pair of hands, though they are both long-term slippery Tories. Odd not to hear much about Patel, though I imagine her close ties to Johnson may hold her back. Truss would be a car crash. I imagine she will campaign on her Foreign Office stint, sticking it to the EU and helping out Ukraine. I can't think of any other serious contenders, though the sensible thing for the Tories would be to bring in a moderate until things calm down. This is really just the beginning of the power struggle; it's going to be fun!
As for Brexit, I don't see them going back but it is an opportunity to quietly re-align with EU standards and present them to the public as their own set of 'great' British standards. They can sell it however they want and have it put in place with a lot of fanfare. No need to admit they got it wrong, just present it as a workable solution. I doubt many people are clued in on the ins-and-outs of these regulations, they'd likely be happy if they're told they were written up by Whitehall civil servants consulting with the City's leading minds and rubber-stamped by a leading Brexiteer.
Of course Brexit won't be reversed everyone knows that.
It would be nice though to have a PM that doesn't illegally renegade on international treaties that are already in place.
We can only hope of course I'm not optimistic.

No the reason the relationship is bad is because they have no issue with ripping up a legally bindnig agreement that they lobbied for and signed, when others were on the table, and couldnt give two **** if it send Northern Ireland back 40 years to where everyone is killing everyone ele again. Its impossible to have a good reationship with a neighbour who treats you like that

Also - If he goes today he's remembered in history for what he is - an incompetent self-serving venal twat who achieved absolutely nothing and failed miserably as PM.
By staying around , he gets a chance to reframe his tenure by doing something "significant" or at the very least hobbling the public inquiry into Covid so that the details of his worst failures and corruptions remain untold.

Mad to think how Boris got away with saying stuff like below, I don’t think anyone else would, when you compare it to how much attention Corbyn got with the Jews and he never said anything like that and if he did he would have been cancelled immediately. I’m not fan of either of them, just pointing out the double standards and how much he was able to get away with.
I'd say he wants enough time to blow up the NI Protocol, be able to claim about how he finally got Brexit done and stood up to the EU, and then leave the next PM to try deal with the mess.
Boris is on the phone to threshold and the Residential Tenancies Board right now. With their assistance, he should be able to stay in The No10 apartment for 1-2 years whilst the process of eviction goes through the court of appeals.

I don't see it. Parliament has its recess and you're assuming that the party in power which would have to deal with the consequences would vote for said consequences. He just doesn't want to be out in less time that May was.

As I said earlier, this is a very positive and upbeat day for the Conservatives; a fresh, new leader to deliver a conservative agenda until December 2024, and then defeat Keir Starmer at the next election.
Today is a bad day for the Labour Party, but they don't seem to be aware of that yet.

I agree. The British people are conservative. They need a reason to not vote conservative, or they naturally will. Boris became that reason
there has not been a true Labour Party in power in decades. Blair’s ‘new labour’ doesn’t count…..they were middle of the road conservative in all but name
Only thing is whether David McWilliams is right and that the big picture pendulum is swinging back, after 49 years, to favour labour over capital. I do think that there is an element of truth in that which could strengthen labour’s arm in coming years
