hmmm
Oh,have you got breaking news! Has Russia become a democratic country no longer ruled by a tyrant, a tyrant btw who disowned his own mother.
That is a serious bit of kit. Amazingly fast setup and decamp for such heavy artillery.
I'm not convinced the army would obey orders to cross the border. Lukashenko is playing a balancing game of pleasing Putin and not getting his head removed by his own people.
I'd also probably be right in saying that the Belarus army is probably very poorly equipped.
If they officaly join in, that would spell trouble for Kiev i'd assume they'd have to try and hold a front on the north and east.
Been suspected for a while now that some Belarus units are operating with Russian badges and insignia.
NATO would strongly discourage (quietly) any action Poland would officially take. So I'm not sure Poland would do anything.
I agree. There's been a staggering amount of lies reposted on boards about Ukraine by people easily fooled by Russian propaganda.
I see Belarus are believed to be putting boots on the ground for Russia, what are the implication not good for Ukraine but does Poland get dragged in...
Some Western thoughts on the state of things.
Russia has made ‘genuine headway’ after capturing Lysychansk, say western officials
The capture of the city of Lysychansk in eastern Ukraine by Russian forces has meant Moscow has made “genuine headway”, while its forces in the south have shown signs of “better cooperation”, western officials said.
But one official said it “remains highly uncertain whether Russia will secure the limits of Donetsk oblast this year”.
Russia has made “some significant command changes” in recent weeks, one official said, notably the recently appointed Gen Sergei Surovikin, who has taken over command of the southern group of forces overseeing the occupation of southern Ukraine and the advances on the Donbas from the south.
There are “very serious issues” over the stocks of Russian munitions and of morale, an official said, while long-range weapons systems are starting to make a “significant operational difference for Ukraine”.
Go on.....
The amount of ignorance displayed here towards a people and a country that most haven't a clue about is absolutely staggering-
This is a mighty piece of tech.
They know they'll be next once Putin is done with Ukraine.
Ukraine was meant to be a warning to all former USSR and current CIS countries. Join up to the idea of a new union state, or this will be you. Hasnt really worked out that way though.

MOSCOW, July 6 (Reuters) - Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), which takes oil from Kazakhstan to the Black Sea via one of the world's largest pipelines, has been told by a Russian court to suspend activity for 30 days, although exports were still flowing.
Tengizchevroil, the operator of Kazakhstan's largest oilfield Tengiz, said oil supplies via the CPC pipeline have not been interrupted.
Tengizchevroil, in which Chevron holds a 50% stake, said that it has sought clarification from the CPC on details and next steps after the ruling.
Russian court orders halt to Caspian oil pipeline but exports still flow | Reuters
Due to oil leaks. Not related to the conflict at all...
Here's an interesting video about why Russia is about 15 years behind the west in chip making and why the still need western chip foundries.
Effectively saying that if you take a Russian flight, you do so entirely at your own risk - if the plane falls out of the sky, your relatives won't even receive compensation.
Yes, I've even seen Russian people on YouTube comment that they don't think their fellow citizens place much value on human life. One of the drawbacks of living in a dictatorship I guess - the state itself plays down the value of life and tells the population not to get too worked up about it.
And there's this, which may be a rumor but not good for morale “Russian colonels betray their troops, the position of soldiers in exchange for money”: shocking interception from Ukraine (italy-24.com)
Coverage of Martin visit to Kyiv.
Explosions continue at Azotny in Donetsk
Logistics, modern precision artillery, intelligence of weapons dumps, the Russian build up since 2014.
(The footage in post is a weapons dump after being hit by artillery). Nothing sensitive.
Sri Lanka’s president, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, said he asked his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin to help import fuel to his country. Rajapaksa tweeted that he had a “productive” telephone call with Putin, while thanking him for “all the support extended to overcome the challenges of the past”.
Desperate measures indeed.
Don't know how true it is, but on the Russian version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, they removed the "ask the audience" lifeline because the crowd usually deliberately gives the wrong answer and this is where the "ask the host" option came from.
If true, it suggests that even russians don't like other russians.
Lol Greyzone.
Don't even need to fillet that garbage. Putinist toilet seat sniffing horsesh*t.
Several claims in that are straight from the Kremlin basement toilet brains trust and the article in general is stacked with lies.
Maybe this will drive a new Bolshevik Revolution. There has to be a lot of sorrow in these poorer communities, a lot of talk between neighbours, family & friends.
Russian soldiers tend to be drawn from the poorest and most ill educated sectors of society, from backwater provinces, and indeed have many non-ethnic Russians among their numbers. All of which seems to make them pretty disposable in the eyes of many of their compatriots. Anyone with money just bribes their way out of military service. Add that to the general fatalism and lack of value placed on the individual in Russia and it's a recipe for major indifference
Agreed. But what strikes me is the total ignorance of the Russian people to their near 40000 dead soldiers. They and their military commanders in the field come across as a really heartless sort. I can't quite get my head around that coldness towards their fellow citizens.
To get more tiktok time while the machine is on autosteer. 🙂
To be fair that's not a Russian exclusive. It's a near given that those who start wars and shout about them aren't the poor bastards that have to fight and die in them.
Basically anyone who isn't part of the Russian elite or who hasnt the balls to overthrow the regime.
