Are those walls and ceilings tiled or is that very careful shuttering? Either way the overhead concrete is oppressive.
So much to comment on.....
That's the most godawful uncomfortable-looking telly-watching furniture I've ever seen in my life!
The giraffe breathing down my neck would definitely not improve the experience. Not to mention the gorilla hiding under the stairs, or the zebra watching over the bath.....
The long low 20's style sideboard in the dining room is fabulous. As is most of the furniture in the house.
I don't think I've ever seen a house with more choice of tables and chairs to sit at! I think I counted at least 8 sets downstairs alone, between inside and out.
The nightmarish navy bedroom is just weird.
But overall that is one amazing house!
The house itself is great. It's just what they filled it with :)
Looks like a tech start-up office!
I always find off-form concrete finish in a house challenging. Its a very industrial look and feel.
This house definately manages to soften it with the soft furnishings, plants and good use of natural light, but theres no escaping its harshness.
A feast for the eyes, but you'd be living in someone else's "dream" home, at a hefty price tag for Leitrim, and that's not going to be a warm cosy home in the long Connaught wintertime.
It's very quirky and unusual but as you say, a hefty price tag for Leitrim. It's not too far from Cliffoney and Mullaghmore where property would be more expensive than a lot of other areas in Sligo but I'm still not sure it'll get the asking price. Though huge work has gone into them, I am not a fan of the floor mosaics or the ones on the bathroom/shower wall.
I really like that one actually - if you got rid of the giraffe, the wooden children and the yeti under the stairs 😁 It all has a very manly vibe.
I'm cold just looking at those bedrooms 😱
I'm assuming (hoping!) that those are false ceilings, and there's at least a foot of top range insulation between them and the slate roof...... or, given the BER F rating, maybe not.....
And yes, not only are you buying someone else's (very particular) taste, there's not a lot of it that can be easily or cheaply changed if it's not yours.
Is it my imagination or is this door raised off the floor?
Very quirky - a great find for the thread, which is my favourite thread on boards.
Very pricey imo for the location.
That toilet looks like it's in a cove or do I mean a shed 😂.
Yes it looks a bit like a saloon door with a gap at the top and the bottom. Not ideal for a bedroom if that is what that room is.
And a similar gap the head of the door too? Maybe it's a saloon door from the old wild west...?!
looks like a shared entrance with another house on the left of it in streetview. Right beside a farm. Thats a big nope.
Hippy paradise i think. the rad in pic 18,ya wouldn't want to fall outta bed

That's an understatement. Pic... 47, bottom RH corner. Yeah, I hope that's an actual Yeti... rather than...
Possibly slight exaggeration, but I'd be hard pushed to take this as a present. Pay €360k for it... in any county. Not a hope.
I think you'd probably be huddled around it come mid December!
Surprised nobody has mentioned the fact that there's no handrail on the stairs. Not very safe at the top of the stairs about to head down either.
It's okay, magical wood nymphes will cushion your fall.
I love the whole thing and the decor is in many ways similar to my own house. I don't have concrete structure but taxidermy, odd chairs, a few antiques with modernist furniture.
Still my favorite chair
That chair reminds me of someone squatting to have a sh1te. 😁
That Leitrim house has potential as a quirky AirBnb, not much else without putting significant renovation into it.
It also has a version with arms that even looks more like that. Surprisingly comfortable. I bought each char separately from Germany and resprayed them. About €80 a chair including shipping which I thought was good value. Turns out maybe great value
I think I got a bit mesmerised by the whole thing and now feel dizzy just looking at that stairs!
The Leitrim house is cute, but BER F! The official description for F is
an older property, barely a shell with single glazed windows and no insulation
360k,right! Good luck with that.
The estate agent really went to town on the history of this house in the description. Not a thing about the house as it stands today though. I suppose a railway enthusiast might be most likely to buy it.
While we're on the topic of old railways, came across this place between Clonmel and Thurles on an old branch that used to run between the two towns. Make sure you look on both sides of the bridge.

I like the mannequins making a break for it in pic 13. Lads, the door is open, RUN!!!
