It's all falling apart alarmingly fast for Boris Johnson across the water. How long you reckon he has left as British Prime Minister? Hours surely?
How many parties are they talking about now? I've lost count.

Education secretary has said nothing and arrived at No. 10 in the past half hour 🤔
Steve Barclay appointed Health Secretary, currently no 10 chief of staff.
Boris Digging in by all accounts.
There isn't a hope in hell the EU will allow the UK back in without huge political change in their attitude to Europe
What's the Odds Nadhim Zahawi, new Chancellor of the exchequer 🤔🤔
This is both fascinating and ridiculous. If you wish NI to remain a part of the UK you are a unionist.
Pretty telling that he clearly doesn't have one genuine friend in his orbit to put a hand on his shoulder and tell him, "Mate, you're done. Just go."
The 1922 Committee likely to see some changes in 10 days , obviously Boris is safe from a no confidence vote for 11 months but Rules could change , it looks like that's what it's going to take to remove him 🤔
I wouldn't read too much into Chair/Vice Chair and such grandiose titles. Every second person has one (exaggeration). I think that's what posters mean when they say those minor resignations mean 'bugger-all'.
None of them are actually 'Chair/Vice-Chair of the Conservative Party'. They'll be Vice-Chair of Conservative Nutrition Research, or Tourism Infrastructure or something nonsense like that.
Their titles mean about as much as calling yourself a master fuel injection technician when you did two weeks in Statoil. They are barely any level above an MP.
But they probably all voted for Boris in the VONC to keep that tiny title and tiny extra payment. And now certainly won't
The British won't go for that, the Eurozone economy is heading for a profound challenge, as will all economies but the Eurozone fundamentals are among the worst of the modern world.
Brussels and the capitals of the EU will Also be focused on the challenges at hand rather than warming up the old dinner that is British membership of EU.
Tldr..
Neither side wants it
I suppose I'm just looking at the amount of resignations rather than Job titles as such but I see your point . Boris must at this stage lost over 50% of the Conservative parties support , leaving it very tight even from a promotion of allies point of view.
He may Trundle on I guess, already appointed a new health secretary but this is going to be an ugly few months ahead.
There is absolutely zero chance the UK will rejoin the EU. Neither the UK will go for it nor the EU will go for it.
If the new prime minister (I think we can agree the thread title is now all but confirmed) is well disposed to Europe, you will see a thaw in relations and agreements on many co-operative policies. But you will not see the UK become a member of the EU again in the medium term
And who would be that new PM that is well disposed to Europe
Boris has to dig in, he's absolutely 100% shaged after this. He'll be a completely busted flush, his reputation in tatters and un-hireable, after this. He'll have lasted less time in the role than Teresa May, been widely seen as the drunken ringmaster of a drunken circus of a parliament. Every woe that the next Parliament has - Labour or Tory - will be thrown at his feet. Without his position the amount of scandal, revelations and photos of the last 2 years will be laid bare for all the see in 'sensational' exclusives.
He'll be as untouchable as Donald Trump is now - a few vocal extermist supporters but by the main party kept at as wide a distance as possible. But unlike Trump, he has no money. Johnson has frequently complained about how little he's paid, he squanders money on frivolous crap (look at all the 'loans' he's requested for his flat, the fecking treehouse!! etc), and he has loads of alimony and child support to pay out after his divorces and affairs. And who'll hire him? Back to being a journalist? Really.... A personality, maybe but culd the British publis warm again to his clown act, when all the secrets are revealed and laid out about him.
He's absolutely effed if he's turfed out. So dig in he will, and he'll have to be dug out
I'd say he's skint too 🤔
Norway all-but-in, rule taker but not rule maker, is what's in the UKs long term future. Single market, Customs Union, may even be convinced to join Schengen if there's some deal on cross-channel refugees involved.
Basically EU membership but without any of the benefits or opt-outs they had negotiated before they left.
He will make an absolute killing doing after dinner speeches . £250,000 a go ?
Maybe but that conversation won't happen this side of 2040
Money is not going to be a problem for Johnson after being PM.
He spends like a drunk lord but it still will not be a problem.
Funny
In totality, yes. For individual components, I could see CU by Christmas.
I wish that was true, but unfortunately....
"Boris Johnson stands to make £5m a year after No 10, say experts"
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/jun/11/boris-johnson-stands-make-millions-after-no-10
Theresa may makes about 600k a year in speeches,a dull Ex PM.
Johnson has off the charts charisma etc. He would be a big draw.
I can't think of many worse uses for money than that
People would pay to see him fall over or his made hair. He's a pretty big draw whether you support him or not.
Friend met him years ago, he said as soon as he walked in to the room, he had everyone's complete focus, he has that spark.
He certainly wasted it.
New front bench
Nadhim Zahawi new chancellor
Nadhim Zahawi has been appointed Chancellor
Quite sickening what people do for their own selfishness and hunger for power, instead of actually doing what's right for the country, these BJ bed fellows deserve every pain they get
The barracks kitchen staff are being given guns and asked to report for duty. The war is going well.
