The new Gervais special was just OK.
Not as good as his old ones.
Is this that Olga again from liveline?
No. This one is going to be next Vice President.
Jaysus!!!
Theres Ballsy going top note on the radio about punters in the DAA getting “huge salaries” and there’s himself in RTE working teachers hours two days a week on €250k.
Time someone lifted the slate out in Montrose, and seeing what NK and his mob are hauling in.
BOC Interview a fellow Corkonian today, who has given up the drink.
Talking about Hotels charging exhorbitant rates. How Artist cannot afford to stay in Hotels, not like they can in other European countries, with special business arrangements for Artists.
.....And ofcourse around 12.30 the Mental Elf is given coverage of course.
In most European cities you will get cheap basic hotels at an affordable price.
They are usually clean and safe with small rooms but no cooked breakfast.
Nice to hear Michael Harding back in good form after his travails.
Mark of the man that he made little of his not inconsiderable troubles and placed them in their true context.
Particularly enjoyed his homage to country town hotels.
The Bush Hotel, Carrick on Shannon, all human life is there.
And a good eating house as well 🙂
Yes , was in sharp contrast to the petulant ranting of John Halligan earlier on the topic of hotels
Michael Harding must have a bed somewhere in the RTE building, he's never off TV/radio.
Actually he was MIA for a good while with various health problems which he outlined today.
Speaking only for myself, I enjoy his contributions.
Yeah, I'd agree. He's generally ok to listen to, a man with a decent outlook on life. Prone to the odd bit of waffle, but then aren't we all.
Was just highlighting that he is a regular on RTE. Seems to pop up on a weekly basis on one show or another.
He's a poet and don't ya know it.
This fokking programme has sunk to epic crap.
Who wants to listen to this crap of a Sunday morning.
This bell whiff motormouth would put a bull elephant to sleep………shut the fuerhekke up………….. squeeelch.
Brendan didn't like Dan o Brien being less than flattering about the president
He said Michael D has a big ego and Brendan reacted as if he had called him a child murderer.
Then the obligatory half an hour about mintle hilth.
He then began accusing DOB of " being personal "
Virtually anything said about people in public life can be construed as personal, what a dopey comment, o connor is a craven establishment shill of the highest order ,to think he was once viewed as vaguely edgy
DO'B is the bigger shill here though. The way he trots out GDP figures and frames the discussion about housing is bordering on amoral. Hopefully he'll disappear shortly to again avoid the embarrassment of another enforced twitter break :-)
The boy Ballsy is very uncomfortable in the first hour, not happy at all and on edge in my opinion.
Why does he keep saying ‘so and so and so and so’ are “still with us” 25 minutes into the show.
He hardly got them in for half an hour surely!!!
He relaxes audibly after 1200 when the ‘shills ‘ for their various activities appear.
Complete bottle of piss, in my opinion.
The best part of today's show was the interview with Arthur Brooks.
Professor of Happiness, we could all do with taking a semester 🙂.
DOB sticks to the data and has no truck with populist emoting ,he's a terrific speaker on economic and global affairs
Think she was a tad surprised Mick Lynch supported Leave
The Irish msm can't get their little heads around that one
Does BOC do the BOC show anymore ? Haven't heard him in weeks
He was on air two weeks ago so he has been away for two weekends including this one.
I'm sure he will be heartened to know you are "missing him already" 🙂
This constant interjecting and interrupting is really annoying. No-one's getting much of a chance to expand on any point.
I happened to tune in today mid show, heard them chatting about covid.
Radio off straight away.
Correct, MCDonald or whatever her name is a very difficult listen.
Very ‘frantic’ kind of delivery and as u say, constantly interjecting.
Terrible stuff to be sure.
She's not bad imo, but at times she is talking too much. I noticed it during the Mick Lynch interview last week, where it felt like she had to say what she knew about him to gain credence with him or something.
Re the Leo Varadkar: Apparently most people are satisfied that it has been settled and the public has a very high degree of trust in the criminal justice system in Ireland according to Pat Leahy. I don't know anyone who trusts the justice system in Ireland or our politicians.
i do like pat, but i think id disagree with him on this one....
