No, to be honest the covid delay was great for me. Made me re-evaluate things and with a young family at home the police staff role gives me much more family friendly hours. I'm never saying never, being a police officer is still the dream, but maybe in 5 years time ☺️
Make sense tho. I am a little bit afraid about shifts, hours, overtimes, with family as well 😬 but will give it a go and then will know is it for me, but I think will be grand 😁

Good to hear exactly what the score is with police recruitment listening to the Nolan show.
Sometimes with government departments it's who can shout the loudest gets additional funding, hoping that show maybe raises awareness of lack of funding. 🤷♂️
Supposing hearing that on the Nolan show was good but at the same time it was very disheartening as potentially we could be here twiddling our thumbs for a good number of months….
Im not expecting to hear a lot within the next few months tbh completely ready for a massive wait ahead. Would be nice to have our vetting running concurrently while they await a budget then potentially slingshot through the remaining stages when the money is allocated but hopes and dreams are an amazing thing! 🤣
I know that’s exactly what I’m thinking? Why not start vetting because it can take months and months to get approved
unless the current budget won’t allow for vetting to be ran for 1000+ people
