Armagh have shown their true colours once more, they have been at this shite for years.
Hopefully the Armagh board wont be appealing the upcoming penalties against this incident like they did against Donegal.
Mod Edit
Warning issued.
And you'll get all the little bitches crying about the big bad nordies. Small men living in fear.
Hahahahaha even calling them small men. Ya can tell your a big tough nordy bastard all right.
As an ulsterman, I can assure you most non-Armagh fans are not a fan of common assault.
Gouging is scrote behaviour.
Its going to be hard for Armagh to blame Tyrone or Donegal for this one.
Only an idiot could defend eye-gouging.
If you are in the house lads, try form a queue.
especially when the victim was unable to defend himself as his hands were full
Huh it was one player gouging as far as I can see. That's not the whole team
Thats the fact. **** Tiernan Kelly anyway, throw the book at him.
If they want to fight, then let them join boxing or MMA and fight. Not being bitches and trying to assault lads that want to play football.
The sporting equivalent of "hard lads" who go around in groups looking for "fights" after the pubs close against lone lads walking home minding their own business.
Ya didnt see any other thuggish behaviour from the team no? Their 3rd brawl this year , pathetic losers really.
Nobody will defend eye gouging, its a heinous offence.
But this isn't really about eye gouging, the thread was started because certain middle aged men have a deep rooted fear of the nordies and grasp any chance to talk big about them online.
Disgusting act by this guy. Not surprising though.
Pure delusion.
Well im a young ulsterman and think Armagh are the basically a bunch of 'hard men' pretending at being sportsmen.
Was great to see them knocked out.
"Talking big about them online" ..... Says the fella who came in in the third post implying other posters were "little bitches".
The eye gougers are bitches - not the two people who posted ahead of you
I'd disagree with that fact. Armagh lads were holding his hands so he couldn't defend himself while Tiernan Kelly came in to eye gouge him. The fellas holding are as bad.
I said it on another thread Armagh have a very sinister element about them on the field and in support too. McGeeney was at this crap in Kildare too. Poisoning these lads with MMA shite.
The discussion started in the main championship thread.
If this is about the eye gouging scumbag, why does the OP start with "Armagh have shown their true colours".
Rent free in their little heads, god help them when Derry play Galway.
OP here, they have shown their true colours as they have been at this for years including against my own county Donegal.
They are the shame of Ulster
The Armagh players actively protected Kelly after the incident.
"Pretend hard man hides behind his friends when caught" type of scenario
Well I certainly hope the gouger doesn't get away like the Galway hurler Cianan Fahy did for another heinous act.
RTE really lose their **** when these scuffles break out and it seems to work in riling the masses. Apparently it's 'shocking' and 'appalling'. Meh.
I'd take a dim view of the gouging alright and would support a nice ban for the culprit but the other stuff is just lads getting a little excited. The game is played on the edge. You can't ask young men to be that pumped up, play a physical game and not expect it to boil over on occasion.
I'd love to see either McGeeney or the Armagh County Board come out proactively and condemn this.
I won't hold my breath, expect the usual claims not to have seen the incident and the guff about needing to respect the disciplinary process.
Jeff Kenna, one of our most underrated players, quality defender.
Every county in Ireland has their share of scumbags, to be fair. It's a noticeable fact that the Nordy counties have far more than their fair share of them. Maybe it's for historical reasons, not growing up as sheltered as us in the south. Sometimes you read a headline in the news and you just know that the incident occurred in a northern county.
Nothing prejudiced about it. It's just the way it is.
Not defeinding Belfast, (Antrim/down) or Armagh or any of them places as I’ve no allegiance to them or love for them.
but Dublin, cork and limerick to name a few have some horrible, horrible individuals.
gangland Dublin.
the post office incident with the scum bags last year with their dead uncle
the stabbings and rows over farms in cork
you could go on
Fair point. But an entire generation growing up steeped in normalised paramilitary violence has a long lasting effect.
Yes you can. Rugby is more physical but they have zero tolerance to the type of behaviour witnessed today, and on previous occasions this season by Armagh players.
