The Right religious conservatives and who knows who else have today overturned the constitutional right to abortion in the US.
Will this now embolden anti abortionists in this country to fight back?
The US is a cold place for women now.
Proper assessment.
Trump doesn't give a flying fig about abortion or religion but sees the American far right as a handy tool in which to promote himself.
Many of the English Tories and Brexiteers would be similar - don't really believe in anything, but see the politics of the far right and latching onto culture wars as a means of self promotion.
Trump's not the mastermind of this one at all no. It would be the dark money groups, lifetime GOP senators, heritage foundation and other think tanks, that choreographed this to the best of their ability over the past number of decades. They ensured Scalia's seat remained vacant, ensured Amy Comey Barrett was rushed in without hesitation to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg posthumously, etc. and hand delivered to Trump all of their hand picks for nomination the Supreme Court. Trump didn't do his own research on judges or anything.
It seemed as if you were having difficulty understanding the concept so I clarified it for you.
I didn't think you'd be able to accept the reality that reasons exist for such late term abortions. But there's a reason they exist, just as you understand the reasons they are rare.
Do you think a woman should be forced to give birth to a dead foetus or one that will die within days/weeks of being born? Yes or no?
Again, for you. A medical abortion is when you take pills. Did you mix up a medical abortion and a medically necessary abortion in your post?
In large part a consequence of his actions yes. Perhaps not 'unintended' but a consequence he was indifferent to when he was reaping the political reward of those actions...
I think most people agree with that and that's reflected in the low number of abortions that happen after 21 weeks and an even far lesser number than that who would avail of it in month 9, but that doesn't eliminate the possibility one might be suitable. For example, why ask a woman to carry a braindead/stillborn fetus through the last 3 months of pregnancy if it had a brain hemorrhage at month 6, or lost its heartbeat having once developed one?
You didn't read my post, did you?
I'll answer your question when you engage in good faith instead of copying and pasting sh*t you read on the internet.
It's a discussion forum. Have a discussion instead of peddling the same bad-faith nonsense.
These kinda threads are a sad reminder that there are a huge amount of deeply unpleasant individuals on boards.
This classic has popped up a few times again. Good old George. Nothing has changed since.
Three of them I believe, he's not responsible for the basket case that is Thomas though!
Both sides have already raised the possibility
Saunder's campaign was 'finished' when Obama intervened with other candidates to ensure they backed Biden at the same time he was lying that he hadn't intervened in the campaign....
I can already guess how ‘distracting’ the female vote will be 😏
It probably would not.
Interesting to see that be attempted.
The point flew over your head. Democrats want late term abortions , including up to the third trimester. Do you agree, yes or no?
I don't believe the ruling precludes Congress from instituting a federal law on this issue
If your morals come from a 200 year old constitution and a 2000 year old bible I think you may be going backwards. I certainly wouldnt believe a lot of what they believed in 200 years ago was right.
The "progressive" faction of the Democratic party, had Bernie as its candidate last time.
Bernie did well in States with very large numbers of middle class whites. His campaign foundered when African American voters pushed back and finished it.
Less Abortion means a lot more African Americans in years to come, that may well see a further dashing of "progressives" plans.
There is context to everything.
Less than 1% of abortions take place in the third trimester, and a lot of them are down to two reasons - more information on a fatal foetal abnormality and being unable to access abortion in the first 24 weeks of the pregnancy for a variety of reasons.

Regardless of your fearmongering, you have nothing to back up that this is a regular occurance. It's another right-wing fearmongering talking point that doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
Yeah expect economic woes will prop up the Republican vote and only slowly will they begin to repeal rights not explicitly mentioned in the constitution or thought of favourably in the bible so basically next; gay rights and contraceptives.
Third trimester abortion is wrong , no ? A baby carrying person who goes 7-9 months suddenly decides to opt out , but at that point a living breathing conscious soul is involved and needs to be protected , you wouldn't agree?
I reckon most would agree that there's a pretty huge window for a person to abort before reaching the third trimester
is this all Donald Trump's doing??
pulling strings in the background? aren't most of those supreme court judge's his appointment's?😶
Ah personal insults.
Looks like you have emptied the tank. Sit the rest out
Ah yes because public health measures during a pandemic are the exact same are attempting to regulate women's bodies. You're not the first to try and make this stupid comparison. It must be a go to for right wing trolls.
Access to medical care is a human right.
Nice to see you don't think women should be allowed access to medical care. It's all coming out now just exactly the type of person you are.
The UN declaration of Human Rights is not supreme to the US Constitution in the jurisdiction of the United States.
If the constitution doesn't defend it, and passes it back to the states, it doesn't matter what the UN says, states will begin criminalizing homosexuality.
It reminds me of vaccine mandates. Strange how things come full circle
