I'd be game for training even at a park or something. Don't know what the rules with security are though... Feel like it would be taking candy from a stranger in a van π
Some that passed with a high mark in the last campaign had started the next stages before they even got their results, but that's because there were no remaining candidates on the campaign previous to that, so there was more of an urgency to start the next stages.
Although guessing, i'd say this campaign would have been similar if the funding for the additional 400 officers that were in the Stormont draft budget could be allocated if there was an executive. π
@Summer157 with my merit position (700-750) I was waiting 3 months after I got my AC results, for email regards vetting
I'm 100-120 in this campaign and I reckon I will be waiting a lot longer than you didπ
Already one month yesterday since merit list email and almost 7 weeks since A.C outcome.
Feel sorry of the candidates who have completed everything in the 2020 campaign and have been waiting months for a phone call for a start date. That would just be absolute torture!!

@Byc_moze at what stage did you get to select or influence where you were based through the process? Is that automatically done by them or is it by you?
I've a private gym at work which is handy as... Need to get those park sessions in though. Sprints, Burpees, press ups, Burpees and some Burpees.

When you get your call they send you out your induction pack.
In your pack will be a district preferences sheet.
You can make up to four choices which are equally weighted but also not guaranteed.
The list of available districts will vary from course to course.
Those on my intake had all districts available whilst friends of mine only had a handful.
You have no choice in station as this is allocated towards end of the SOTP and are depending on district requirements.

A-Belfast City
Woodbourne (West), Lisburn road (South), Strandtown (East) and Tennant street (North).
B- Lisburn and Castlereagh
Lisburn
C- Ards and North Down
Newtownards
D- Newry, Mourne and Downe
Ardmore (Newry) and Downpatrick
E - Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon
Lurgan and Armagh
F - Mid Ulster
Dungannon and Magherafelt
G - Fermanagh and Omagh
Enniskillen and Omagh
H - Derry City and Strabane
Strand Road and Strabane
J - Causeway coast and Glens

People from my campaign 1810 were fast tracked whilst a substantial number remained on the 1710 list.
Didn't know that about the 1810 campaign, did the 1710 list get exhausted before the 1810 started in G.V?

I still don't know. As somebody mentioned before you will get forms before induction day and you can write your preferences then, but it's not for sure that you will go there anyway π€·ββοΈ
Was the same with 1810 and 2002.there is still few lest from previous campaign. Not much but still
The remaining 133 candidates (2020) will be exhausted by the end of this year. They want 150 in by end of this year. Meaning they will try and take some from 2021 campaign also. Listen to the Nolan Show at 9am in the morning!! π
