Grand, ignore international law and the treaties we signed up to and refuse refugees accommodation.
And your point is what exactly 🤔 these cryptic one liners quite difficult to decifer, perhaps you could actually pose an intelligent question or make an intelligent comment.
Are you seriously still going on about benchmarks, mother of God, move on 🙄
What are you waffling about now? I have said, fairly clearly all I need to say on the absolutely pointless HDI statistics. They are worthless. Target or goal in mind for what? Another pointless, useless statistic? Are you going to pretend you couldn't read my post properly again? Only this time to avoid answering anything.. 😂 and maybe flutter off again? While you may read my posts as being angry, I can assure you I am far from that. I am mostly aghast with ridicule of you as I watch you post nothing and defend everything without actually being capable. Then avoid answering any and every question put to you. I had posted a long post, yes, because I had posted many short posts telling you I already answered, you refused to read, so as mentioned, I posted as clearly and concise as possible so as not to confuse you. Also in an attempt to stop you trying to keep going around in circles. No point.
P.S. A benchmark or target is not a statistic. Nor are they used as some sort of trophy to berate others, especially the way you use them.
It's actually becoming Tiresome now 🙄
Except if new emergency legislation needs to brought in it has to be voted on by the Dail.
I have no issues with refugees, 2 Ukrainian lads playing football with my kid great wee lads.
I asked a simple question why are they getting medical attention, housing, meals if in a hotel etc for FREE when they are receiving full social welfare payments?
No. A better solution would be to fix all the issues that they have caused. The government need to reel in the Developers for one, stop allowing them to control the narrative and stop p*ssing about and sitting on their hands.
No need to go back on any promises. Just fulfill them, Bunch of useless cretins the lot of them.
Well, I definitely recall posting on the issue.
I am impressed that you care so much about my views that you went to the trouble of searching for them. Didn't realise you held me in such high esteem. I am flattered.
There is a mask slipping when it comes to the Ukrainians. The Ireland of the welcomes isn't so welcoming to those who are not fior-Gael.
I really can't believe that there are government critics complaining about us helping refugees from the Ukraine.
I'm not at all sure this government have any comprehension of what an emergency is, there's quite enough about at the moment and they seem oblivious 🙄
Three thousand million Euros to be set aside for the Ukrainians but we don't have the money for housing, decent public services or a decent transport system under FF/FG.
Too flattered to answer yes or no to my question?
Well The EU is putting emergency plans in place for fuel rationing and thats the next emergency that will pass them by.
The only sense of urgency at the moment is politicians checking their passports are in date 😉
Posted this earlier on another thread and it's bewildering on the same day MM announces NO more support, relief measures with cost of living crisis, no magic money tree, they are living in cuckoo land all in the cause of Virtue signalling. They are seriously winding people up at this stage 😡
It's all about Paddy getting a pat on the head from Brussels, Berlin and Paris.
I'd say Varadkar is also looking for a job in Europe after he leads FG into the abyss after the next election.
Oh Christ more articles about how tough it is for her being a women (on a 6 figure salary) in politics and what an inspiration she is. Surely warrants another award?
The saving grace is she won’t be Minister for Justice so can’t do any more harm in the meantime. She might be shuffled off by then too
I get a sense the three leaders looking for a job in Brussels, along with Simon Coveney, they don't give a Toss what's going on closer to home.
The further Mcentee is away from ministerial office the better quite frankly. Rarely have I seen such a senior minister in cabinet with such a poor grasp of her brief.
Having 3 billion in the back pocket. Magic money tree. What he spends it on is irrelevant to the fact that he was able to produce it. We hear 'no magic money tree' when its something, we now know, the government simply don't want to spend money on, like building social and affordable housing.
Politics is all about choices.
3000 million for homeless Ukrainians is a choice.
And nothing for homeless Irish citizens is also a choice.
Ignoring the link to the refugees because I've no issue with the government supporting them, it's absolutely incredible that on the same day that the Minister for Finance was telling us on the airwaves we'd have to wait till October to see the extent of cost of living supports etc, the Minister who shares the budget day theatrics with him can tell us this information about next year's government expenditure.
When they say 'there's no money' and dismiss it with 'no magic money tree' but then produce 3 billion, says it all.
I'm glad to see she's at least done something with her time in politics. 🙄
And sadly for me I'm in her constituency.
The advantages to FF/FG of taking in so many Ukrainians are as follows:
1 - A pat on the head from Brussels, Berlin and Paris. FF/FG love nothing more than appraisal from the EU.
2 - Possible EU jobs for the boys after they finish running this kip into the ground. It's long rumoured that Varadkar fancies himself (doesn't he always) as President of the Commission post 2025 after he has screwed FG and the country.
3 - 200,000 Ukrainians with votes in future elections dilutes the Shinner vote especially if FF/FG claim it as their success.
4 - An attempt to appear altruistic and humane when FF/FG are nothing of the sort. They hate the Irish people.
5 - I'd be highly surprised if some are not doing financially very well from such a scheme to place Ukrainians in hotels etc. . Many FF/FG are more than happy to take HAP payments from the state to artificially keep rent/house prices high.
6 - Media distraction from the housing crisis with more of a focus on Putin's war.
All about self-interest and self-preservation.
Darragh O Brien tip toeing (badly) around questions on his views of president Higgins recent comments.🙄

More statistics...
Ireland rank 10th in a list of European Countries, for the average annual wages.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/557777/average-annual-salaries-in-europe/
But ranked as joint most expensive country in the EU
I was listening to Claire Byrne today and they had pharmacists on talking about how difficult it is to get pharmacists to work for them/with them. There is a shortage.
One lady owns a pharmacy in the city centre and she was saying that a lot of the foreign pharmacists that were working here, went home during covid, as the wages may be higher here, but the quality of living is better at home for them, for what they can afford and do with the wages from there. She had previously employed an Italian and another from elsewhere (I don't recall exactly where the other was from, I think Spain) and both also went home for those reasons.
Top notch political analysis there. 🙄
No need to analyse factual information. I bet Varadkar wishes he was a Brit ffs.
Great money if you can get it
