There was no thread so I've started one.
Current leaderboard......
Chance of rain shortly which would change things a lot. I think it would favour accurate tee shirts but hamper off line ones.
Good rounds from scheff and burns now let’s see how the afternoon starters get on
Disappointing from Lowry, too far now I'd say.
I’d say Rory will bottle it.
Expect a few broken clubs.
🤢 That was one hell of a lie
Jaysus did well to make to make double, 4 shots back now.
3 shots no?
I thought it was going to be a triple for sure
US Open app has Rory live aswell for his round.
Tarren and Dahmen, the men everyone was talking about coming into the tournament. IIRC...
great chip, that's one back.
I've just heard that the USGA decided to water the greens during today's second round? Apparently confirmed by Sky Sports commentators. Surely this can't be true? Anyone hear this?
Saw a video of some lads hosing a green alright, but wasn't aware of what time it was at
Edit: Lowry questioning it anyway
Pga tour be loving the top of this leaderboard, Morikawa, Mcillroy, Rahm, Scheffler right there too. East Coast majors are very handy for the staying up
If even half of those guys anywhere near it Sunday will be well worth the semi late night
Why are they teeing off so late tomorrow?
Leaders not off until 15.45!
That's outrageous, saw photos too, surely can't have happened
JT effing and blinding again?
Thought Rory was teeing off now, got the time zones mixes up. Much later than I expected
The USGA up to the same sh1te again, didn’t see this myself but considering some of that so called “geniuses” were up to in previous US Opens, Shinnecock Hills comes to mind, this comes as no surprise to me.
It's shocking really and has taken most of any interest I had in it away. Different courses for different players. Incredible.
At what point in the day did they water the greens?
Poor start. Understandably cautious on the third after yesterday.
He really is useless. Can’t handle any bit of pressure at all
Hey! Hes not useless, he is just useless in the sense of winning a major hahah
Doesn't take long or much for the naysayers to appear
Rory hasn't been particularly good all week, putter was keeping him near the top but has gone cold today. Not a course that suits him at all, I'm actually surprised with how competitive he's been so far.
Don’t know why he doesn’t play more conservatively in the first 3/5 holes seems to heap pressure on himself
a whisker away on a few of them in fairness
And whats wrong with that? He hasnt won a major since he was 25. Hes now 33 , hes probably been in top 5 in the odds in each major since his last major win , jesus the bookmakers must adore the chap.
It's a game where you're more likely not to win. Players with multiple majors have tender to win them in relatively close timeframe. He's only done 4 holes on the Saturday and is 3 behind, so not like he's out if it (especially when the stat shows up regardinghis scoring on first 3 holes here vs rest of the course). He also doesn't set the odds, that's done by people betting on him.
Doesn't win a Major = useless, ah OK... 😏
I never called him useless at all buddy. Although golf like tennis is about major wins. Not winning one since 25 considering how big a name he is , is a bit mad.
