I have to say, with seeing all these huge houses I would have loved when I was younger, it's some waste of space altogether. That house, nice and all as it looks, just seems so lonely, even the lived in rooms. Too big, you'd want a family of about 15 to make it look lived in. Giving me a far greater appreciation for smaller places.
I think if I had the money, I'd build a small house, a huge entertainment room, and the rest would just be grass. I'd also have the money to get a gardener in to make it look like I care.
Meh, I could still fill it.
There appears to have been 2 houses for sale in that remote area, this one was listed at €575k and sold for €750k. It seems in better nick than the other one that was listed with 44 acres

The other one for €450k
The walk in wardrobe in the master is fúcking massive.
Looks lovely to be honest, would love to live there.
This house was on the Journal. I think its going "cheap" giving the current market. I know nothing about the area but it looks quite central to some decent size towns. The shared driveway might be an issue

Big lake tourism spot. Could see it turn into an Air BnB.
It is a lot considering they are hoping to get more with that price as starting bid.
Thatch roof will need to be done in the next few years too. Then all there is, is grass no gravel or tarmac. Not good in the middle of winter.
I like this. I wonder how much it will go for, €125k seems a lot to me... But I really don't know at all, that area or current mad prices.
This is a former Garda Barracks for sale near me. Would need a good bit of work. (Nothing special really )
Sold for €700k apparently.
Burned down almost a year ago to the day.
Planning permission to rebuild granted in Nov 21;
I’ve seen this in passing in the car, it was destroyed in a fire a couple of months back. The ad somehow manages to claim it’s a 2 and 3 bed simultaneously, and claims there’s a garage to the side. When realistically anything remaining looks like it has to be knocked.
I wonder what the situation is here? Owner didn’t have insurance and is looking to get whatever they can and wash their hands with it?

Have a look at it on the floor plan, its some sort of curved affair in two parts.
It's a huge sum, for sure. I know it would kill me spending it on that house ☺
They shure do like their mirrors.
850k for that.
I suppose 750k for the site and 100k for the 115sqm with 39sqm being the headache inducing attic, probably illegal conversion.
Ohh god, the living room has given me clutter related anxiety 😬
It's behind the camera in the picture, nothing much odd about it?
The monkstown house needs an exhausting amount of work, some potential but maybe 50 to 100k of input needed. What is going on with the main bedroom access, the photos don't show it.
What I thought was, you would definitely need a wash by the time you clambered in.😂
Multiple bruised kneecaps later, the cushion was added 😁
Gotta love the taped-on cushion on the corner of the tiled bath surround.
Someone didn't think that design through!!
My mistake, that makes more sense!
That church conversion is nice. Wouldn't pay that money for it, but it is nice.
they are talking about the house in Monkstown. I think you are referring to the house in kilmainham as that has a pic 20 with a large mirror. the house in monkstown only has 10 pics.
Photo 6 'cupboard above the door', that's a fanlight. (see photo 12)
Are you getting confused with the large mirror image in the bathroom photo? (photo 20?)
The gap in ceiling is access to the small crawl space in what would normally be the attic.
The 'Attic room' description is to do with the non-fire-escape windows, I don't know the exact regs but I think they are too high - or not openable enough. I have an idea it could create difficulties with insurance apart from anything else.
What is with the weird little cupboard and a gap in the ceiling over the door in pic 6? Also - how are you supposed to get into that bath/shower? Climb on the toilet seat or across the tiled area? Maybe you can shimmy between the toilet and the end of the bath 😂
They do seem to have some sort of area above the bathroom. I'm not sure how you to it but you have a clear view into the bathroom from there.
