It certainly looks like that. Especially the small stairs that runs beside the ramp. You can see the start of it in one of the pictures.
Bit of googling found a lot more ads, some of which were more helpful. It was a carriage house and
The oversized double doors entering the home were originally used for horse drawn carriages and welcome you to the grand foyer, with dramatic pitched ceilings and a sweeping staircase.Β
So it seems likely that the horses did originally go upstairs.
do like this, normally dont like open living/sitting room types
Such a **** website my slow internet I cannot even see the pics.
I like that a lot, especially the location.
I didn't believe the hawk/falcon the first time, after 6 or 8 pics, its a silhouette to stop birds flying into the windows (presumably).
The Tudor revival continues! Photo number 3 though... π²
That's like a good-old-fashioned antiques shop!!
Is 850K for a 1-bed a record???
I'm amazed those attic rooms don't count as bedrooms - they look like they're high enough at least.
Just fabulous, there's an attractive house.
Some sort of planning reg thing where you canβt call them bedrooms.
That's some price for that house β¬850k but you are paying for location.
I knew I'd seen that before
it's gorgeous!
Photo number 3 could cause severe dizziness π
I looked at pic 20 and thought they had 2 toilets facing each other.
Is that price in Zimbabwean dollars?
They do seem to have some sort of area above the bathroom. I'm not sure how you to it but you have a clear view into the bathroom from there.
What is with the weird little cupboard and a gap in the ceiling over the door in pic 6? Also - how are you supposed to get into that bath/shower? Climb on the toilet seat or across the tiled area? Maybe you can shimmy between the toilet and the end of the bath π
The 'Attic room' description is to do with the non-fire-escape windows, I don't know the exact regs but I think they are too high - or not openable enough. I have an idea it could create difficulties with insurance apart from anything else.
The gap in ceiling is access to the small crawl space in what would normally be the attic.
Photo 6 'cupboard above the door', that's a fanlight. (see photo 12)
Are you getting confused with the large mirror image in the bathroom photo? (photo 20?)
they are talking about the house in Monkstown. I think you are referring to the house in kilmainham as that has a pic 20 with a large mirror. the house in monkstown only has 10 pics.
That church conversion is nice. Wouldn't pay that money for it, but it is nice.
My mistake, that makes more sense!
Gotta love the taped-on cushion on the corner of the tiled bath surround.
Someone didn't think that design through!!
Multiple bruised kneecaps later, the cushion was added π
What I thought was, you would definitely need a wash by the time you clambered in.π
The monkstown house needs an exhausting amount of work, some potential but maybe 50 to 100k of input needed. What is going on with the main bedroom access, the photos don't show it.
It's behind the camera in the picture, nothing much odd about it?
Ohh god, the living room has given me clutter related anxiety π¬
They shure do like their mirrors.
850k for that.
I suppose 750k for the site and 100k for the 115sqm with 39sqm being the headache inducing attic, probably illegal conversion.
