I've checked. Only Charging Fee and Subscription fee (Membership Activity) product lines for the whole 2021 year. The second card I ordered May/June of 2021.
2 cards, one account. Both cards have the same long number on them. Got them in the original welcome pack back in 2017.
Good news for anybody waiting on an MEB car, production is going back up to 3 shifts (1300/day) instead of a single shift (500/day)
So someone is irate 😂. To be fair most times I am here this Volvo jeep is always in the same spot and is always plugged in. They may or may not get the message today!!
P.S I didn't write or leave the note.
😁😀😁 Some context please.
Is there free parking while charging?
What year is the Volvo and model if you know?
I'm not sure what the reg was. It was a black phev (large one). Parking is free so "theoretically" they could park there for a year!!
Mod Note: Do not suggest causing physical damage to other peoples vehicles
Irrelevant if parking is free.
They were not charging and being total d1ckheads blocking a charger from someone else.
I agree 100% but just making the point that with free parking they have no incentive to move.
It's always parked there and always plugged in so it's totally unfair to others.
Agree. Was always very frustrating when I used to be spinning around looking for an on street charger and finding a lot of then taken up by Range Rover, Volvo, BMW and Merc PHEVS with full batteries. Certainly could be considered as lack of consideration for others but then again most people just look after themselves so it shouldn't be surprising really.
I fail to see how a person getting a charge is to blame , frustration should be with the car or lack of chargers or your purchase.
I know if I worked in a pay for parking area, I would be doing my best not to pay, I know I would be doing my best to reduce my expenditure on fuel, I know as sure as hell there is no guarantee a charger will be available when I want it, you bought your car, live with it, what ever its pro's or con's are.
But they're not getting a charge. We're talking about someone who's car charged hours ago and rather than move it to allow another person charge they go "fcuk it, I'm plugged in so what's the big deal".
It's completely inconsiderate for a Volvo phev to stay plugged into a 11kw socket for 8 to 10 hours every day and not move once they are fully charged.
It doesn't surprise me in the slightest because we are becoming more and more an "I'm alright jack" country every day.
If you're referencing my post then exactly people will suit themselves so really why would anyone be overly surprised to find BEVs or PHEVs abandoned at chargers. Of course the way to solve it, if deemed appropriate, is to charge an overstay charge as that would make it uneconomic to hog the charger ensuring this most precious recource is available to more motorists.
A logical overstay fee, like at a Tesla Supercharger is a great idea. Moves people along fairly sharpish when their car is charged.
I don't find ESB's 45 min fee as logical.
Finally getting some electric buses. Great result for urban air quality, and a nice bonus for Wrightbus and NI economy
Not inconsiderate for a Leaf or a zoe ? Irish rail have chargers in car parks, should people catch another train to move their car.
Not enough AC chargers plain and simple, I have seen calls for hubs here, I have no interest in them, I do not considerate them convenient, I use tesco chargers far more often than other chargers, yet there placement is derided.
As for the volvo plugged in for 10 hours, no guarantee that it can find a charger available, 2nd if it did decide to move is there any guarantee to find a parking spot available to move to ?
If people have a problem its not because of a phev, its chargers, car or choice.
I don't see why it has to be a precious resource, there should be plenty of them, its very easy to dial down a car now to make sure your charging for however long you want, people have boasted openly here about doing it to get free parking and easy access.
Even not doing anything some of the phevs have 20 kw plus batteries with only 3.7 kw on board chargers.
Absolutely having more chargers is the ultimate solution but in the interim steps should've take to ensure the current extremely limited chargers are available to the max no of motorists.
Id love to hear the response to a scenario where someone abandoned their car at a fuel pump while they went for some grub because 'I was afraid I wouldn't find a space to park'. Granted not exactly comparable😁 but all the same the current approach where first come takes all is not very efficient use of a scarce resource
Tesco are derided because the chargers they offer don't match the typical time spent at a supermarket.
I've said it before but a plan should be put in place to ensure charger speeds match people's usage need.
- Motorway SS = 150KW+.
- Public Car Parks = 50KW.
- Tourist Attractions/Golf Courses/Shopping Centres = 11/22KW
Then 3/7KW at overnight accommodation.
3/7KW everywhere, every kWh is just that much less spent waiting at or queueing for the more expensive 150 Kw charger. Thread recently of a E-soul charging for 8 hours, there fore eliminating a stop on the way home.
If he done that on more than one occasion should he have a go F$£k yourself note super glued to his car.
Tesco chargers are fine, no need to add more unless busy, I would find other places equally derided.
I think your fooling yourselves if you think people find it convenient to stop mid journey, if it was, there would be 10 x the size car parks at motorway services.
I see a Bjorn Nyland video of him saying a 30 minute way was not too bad and thats before charging, deluded in my opinion.
It's pretty pointless, outside of work and home people don't regularly spend enough time in the type of spots where a 32A charge make sense. Parasitic charging like you describe was fine for cars with very small batteries but now it makes more sense to have a bank of 50kW chargers at a supermarket than it does to provide any AC.
The chargers are free to use.
The car park is free to use.
There are approximately 300 spaces and the car park is never ever full or close to it.
The owner is selfish.
no guarantee that it can find a charger available
There are 4 beside each other. All free to use. This lad thinks this one is his own personal parking spot and personal charger.
Tesla overstay fees are penal, and rightly so
This is at a train station.
Should they get a train back during the day to move the car? What nonsense. It's a destination charger. If you have an issue, your issue should be that there arent enough chargers, not at someone using the charger as intended at a train station destination charger. I'm not the biggest fan of phevs but I feel that a leaf owner for instance may not cop the same level of annoyance as a phev owner in that specific scenario.
This, 100% this.
Writing a note seems a lot of effort when there is 3 other chargers, why not photo copy it and place it on all four.
It's at the nutgrove shopping centre.
Because the other 3 chargers are constantly changing. There may be a taxi at one for an hour and maybe a couple of ID4's or other makes coming and going. This particular car is in the same spot every single day for hours upon end.
The decent thing to do would be to move away to another spot when they are topped up. It's like they have decided it's "their" spot and to hell with etiquette. I've found the majority of EV drivers are very decent and will move on quickly from a charger to let others get charged up and ready to go. Unfortunately the actions of a few always let the side down.
