This whole side thread was kicked off because you said insights are difficult away from the front line, but they're really perfectly possible, as @shivaz pointed out.
Germany speaks for the collective "West".
If that's not an official declaration of marriage to Putin I don't know what is.

I wouldn't be holding my breath on the going broke part. Reports of them running out of financing for the war and having to default on debts has been around since the war's earliest days, and here they still are.
The insight *is* the bigger picture. A war correspondent can only tell you a tiny piece of the overall picture from where they're standing in an often chaotic environment. The conclusions about the course of the war are drawn elsewhere from multiple sources, e.g. Professor Michael Clark on Sky News. Simple.
Germany
War correspondents relay information to people who can then build a full picture of what's going on.
Don't need to be on the front line to have a look at maps and data. Front line wouldn't be the best place for insight about the course of the war, anyway. There'd be more pressing concerns in that situation, like not getting shelled to bits.
... well I did think bowing that bridge was an own-goal myself...
and...
... going broke... that might take a bit longer. The more Putin and Co bluster and brag the more I am convinced they are on the ropes and are trying to deflect this. Most bullyboys tend to go into overload when they are most vulnerable.
I wonder do they have Irish connections?
An interesting development re: additional Irish aid to Ukraine.
From the Journal - small number of wounded Ukranian soldiers being treated in Ireland (Cork UH).

You are posting without any real knowledge or insights into the shelling. We all know the Russian army is shelling everyday.
Today Ukraine forces regained ground north west of Izium because Russian forces were focused on capturing an area southeast of Izium.Russia are taking bites of new territory at the cost of old territory...That's an insight so please try harder when you post about the battles
To be fair during my time in Ukraine, they too would take insult if you buckled up!
Russian army shelled Zhelanne, Avdiivka, Karlivka, Vuhledar and Orikhiv, - General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine says in the morning report
they must be running low on targets now
It's very suspicious on the Russian side.
You'd imagine that would be a guarded compound. And no reports of dead guards if it was a Ukrainian attack. That's not to say there'd be reports anyway..
Looks like an inside job.
There is a lot of talk about the huge Artillery advantage the Russians have but for the most of the shelling Ukraine soldiers are safetly underground. The Artillery is not the main killer. Most killing goes on above ground after the artillery has flattened everywhere and in these battle more Russians are dying than Ukraine soldiers.
At Pivdenny Buh direction Russian army shelled Tverdomedovo, Bereznehuvate, Kobzartsi, Kvitneve and Luch, - General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine says in the morning report
how long can they shell?
Ukrainian military repelled assaults near Vrubivka, Mykolaivka and Vasylivka, - General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine says in the morning report
how long can they repel?
If your trucks are burnt it harder for them to send you to the frinty
Tovarisch, is RuSSia. Barbed wire holds good!
A bale twine
That article states "no modern seatbelts" so presumably they have fitted some type of rudimentary, "passive strap" at least.
Russians sabotaging military vehicles in Russia..?
Still makes no sense. Even good drivers can make mistakes and sometimes things happen which are beyond the driver's control. I take the no seatbelts thing as another example of idiotic Russian machismo.
It's obviously not considering the losses Ukraine are taking at the moment. They have the volume and the range. Sometimes accuracy just isn't enough.
So Ladas are satan proof and Rat'inburgers are on the menu in Moscow... well... next up... 🤐
Japan is donating 33 water purifiers. Great. Any chance they could thrown in a few hundred thanks they might have in storage?
