100% - I'm sure that's happening, it makes total sense to control the "thought leaders"
People put a lot of stock in what rich, famous, successful individuals say, not realising that they may have very "compelling" reasons for saying it
They're mostly trolls, or people whose world view is shaped entirely by the anglosphere. No doubt Putin used the USAs defiance of the UN over Iraq as justification for everything that followed, hence the silence when Georgia was attacked. Putin had flipped burgers with Bush Jr on a ranch in Texas in the aftermath of 9/11 and no doubt felt that it was the USA coming to his point of view about the Chechnya wars, even if it was never discussed.
If a German leader spoke decisively now the same anglosphere that once talked up Putin as an ally would be hysterically decrying them as a resurgent German imperialism. To the anglosphere media the narrative is that Germany = Nazi's, just as Russia's believe Ukraine = Nazis.
'it has long been said'
'there has been a lot of talk'
You'll believe anything, won't you?
Kremlin Recieves Almost 42,000 Complaints on Missing Ukraine Soldiers – Investigation - The Moscow Times
Incredible numbers really, this can't be hid from the Russian people much longer
The Scholtz government has been ok up to now. Had the war not happened, they would have been perfectly average.
But I agree all day long that they are a useless shower of cnuts when it comes to Russia. I really am pissed off about them. Just wanted to say that we are not all a bunch of goosestepping brown shirts over here. Even though there are some morons of that persuasion.
You know the responses you have are from 2 different people, don't you?!
Also, they are right. Or are we at the stage now where rumor or collective speech is banned to avoid offending your sensibilities?
Ah shure you're probably right too - no way those nice people would do something like that 🙂
Shure aren't we all God's creations under the one loving sun? 🙂
Interesting read. It doesn't say amount deserting but must be a big enough amount if there worried for the 1st time.
At Sieverodonetsk direction Russian army shelled Sieverodonetsk, Lysychansk, Pryvillia and Katerynivka with mortars, artillery and MLRS. Russian aviation conducted airstrike at Toshkivka, - General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine says in the morning report
Ex German head of state being employed by russians and French presidential candidate and her party financed by them, are these just extraordinary coincidences or maybe they are the proof anyone should ever need that they are in fact infiltrating and buying their way in? Do you think that these 2 examples are all there is, or maybe for every known case there are 10x more hidden?
Russian army shelled Staryi Saltiv, Ruski Tyshky, Cherkaski Tyshky, Korobochkine, Asiivka, Chepil and Udy at Kharkiv direction, - General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine says in the morning report
“The situation at the front lines is difficult,” Oleksiy Reznikov
Russia is pressing in the est with 'quote' sheer mass. Thousands of Russian troops are sent to the grinder and despite all the losses thousands more are been sent. It is very hard for the Ukraine to counter what is happening there. Russia does not care how many of its own die as long as its gets what it wants. Ukraine desperately needs longer-range weapons or its a grim summer for them.
As for Germany and France.... bugger them, if Poland quits the union in 5 years' time it will be because of the EU's {Germanys and France] own goals.
I don't think Russian power brokers care too much if they turn their motherland into a North Korea type stone age settlement.
Yes but in comparison to the size of their armed forces and what the British and Americans have sent its small change. And they should have sent these months ago

3 guys working on the programme for a week would iron out any kinks if there were any in the first place. Its not like they're rewiting the entire code. It would only be related to the munitions themselves at most.
It's an interesting suggestion, swap the British mercenaries for a lifting of some sanctions, would definitely give Borris a bit of trouble back home.
They don't seem to be referencing soldiers only mercenaries.
FWIW, those German IFVs have started arriving in Greece. No idea why they went by ship instead of train, especially to the Northern port of Thessaloniki. The Greeks have a large armor training base in Thrace, just NorthWest.
To be honest, I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else. And all its attributed to is 'intelligence'.
I don't consider the indo to be particularly intelligent, so I'll wait for clarification from elsewhere.
Sentencing Soldiers to death. Typical stuff for Russia I suppose . Wonder what the German politicians think of this with all there weasel ways.
Wonder what the British response will be?
Maybe ship some longer range weapons.
First news I got about this today
Reportedly they were mercs, not NATO soldiers. This is still a provocative move for Russia to take.
...
Will be interesting if they go ahead with it. It seems a lot of the time, they are all talk with their threats to Western Powers.
No slow your roll. There these are not mercs. The UK lad joined in 2018 and just renewed his contract with the Ukrainian army in January. He has a spouse who is Ukrainian.
These are not mercs please bother your arse to read about them before you propagate Russian propaganda. This is against the Geneva convention.
Was scrolling through Facebook and glanced at a suggested post, i.e. not a page i follow. It was a Ukrainian journalist writing for an Australian newspaper with the front page of an edition after she had been to the front lines.
I glanced at the comments and holy crap, the putin bots were out in force. Every, and i mean every comment and reply was along the lines of:
Why don't you write about how zelenskyy is a gangster?
Why didn't you write about why NATO started this?
What about the children shelled by Ukrainian soldiers?
What about the locals tortured in Donbas since 2014?
I clicked into a few profiles of the commenters and they were all the same type of thing; account created from 2019 on and their profile picture/background updated once in 2021. And there was a disproportionate amount of commenters with a first or last name of Albert. And the replies to the comments were all varieties of the above types of comments and made no sense in the context of what they were replying to.
Load of Irish people do be at the same in social media etc.
Bizarre how they live Putin.
Seem to be from the anti government anti establishment crew.
The only 2 rail routes to Greece from Germany are via Serbia-Montenegro and Romania-Bulgaria.
Although Serbia-Montenegro is more direct, politically it probably wouldn't be acceptable through Serbia. That's if the line south of Belgrade was even able to handle the load. From what I've seen, I'd have my concerns.
As regards routing stuff via Romania and Bulgaria, if driving through there is anything to go by, I'd prefer to send my valuable IFVs on a nice safe ship. Did they at least rail them to Italy and ship from there or did they have to go the long way?
They see him as tearing down the bourgeoisie capitalist West.
I was assuming they weren't of the angry Aussie type but the St Petersburg basement dwelling type
