A Youtube doctor says no, he can't make the injury any worse but compensating for the pain could risk injuring something else.
From 3:40...
When will we see the start of the outrage of 'oh Vince should of siad no to letting Cody fight, Tony Khan would of stopped him. Tony looks out for this talent always'
There was massive outrage when AEW didn't stop the Matt hardy/Sami Guevara or Lance archer/ Eddie Kingston matches, so once again, swing and a miss.
Cody out for up to 6 months, disaster for wwe. Best of luck to him in his recovery
Respect to Cody for performing while injured but this seems to be a recurring thing with Cody where he puts himself in a situation that could be harmful to him even when it probably isn't necessary. Like going through the burning table in AEW and getting himself burned, or doing diving moonsaults off the top of steel cages and sometimes missing those moonsaults and hurting himself.
No Cody for Cardiff then :(
That's fair ****
Reigns is not wrestling MITB so not sure if Riddle is getting a match now as Orton for SS and Drew for Welsh Castle
Baffles me as to why WWE gave both belts to Reigns if he was going on a reduced schedule. There's just no focus or direction in the main events without a Champion for each brand. It's like Lesnars terrible title reign a few years ago when he was barely there.
Dave Meltzer on Bray Wyatt: "He was fired for reasons having nothing to do with being over and not over, he was not fired having to do with his gimmick he was fired having to do with things I probably should not talk about so I am not going to start a can of worms with that."
https://old.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/v8dkje/dave_meltzer_on_bray_wyatt_he_was_fired_for/
But throws it out into the world when nobody was even talking about Wyatt. That man...
Reigns not wrestling MITB was known last month no? Once they switched from the stadium it was reported a few times iirc.
It is ridiculous though, since Mania they've completely killed any interest in their main belts. And yet keep going on about how many days he's held the title and how many days since he's been pinned, sure ffs he doesn't even wrestle on TV anymore!!
And I was just saying in teh gaming forum about "insiders" saying "I know something you don't know" and never expanding on it. Either tell the story or say nothing. Since when did Meltzer shy away from starting a can of worms? Don't even think that's a saying.
Paige leaving WWE next month.
What was she doing for them until now? Going by that twitter profile pic I don't think I would recognise her
Tony Khan wetting himself already.
John Cena really is a good dude
He should see a doctor about that.
Volusia County jail records show that Hardy was booked into the jail at 12:45am, on charges of Driving While License Canceled/Suspended/Revoked, Violation of Restrictions Placed on Drivers License, and DUI Alcohol/Drugs Third Offense within 10 Years.
Guy is a waster.
Let's see how AEW handles this, not sure they've had to handle a case like this before.
I'm sure plenty of people are going to be questioning his sobriety at that WWE house show too as much as they defended it. I'd feel bad for Matt for bringing his brother in but at a certain point it feels like he enables him. The guy needs help.
Any time I watch him now I just think he'd be back on the drugs soon with what he puts his body through.
Looks like the big bad WWE were right for once in this case. Matt needs to take a share of the blame for enabling him too.
I've said it before about Jeff, you can't trust him as a top guy in any company after the stunt he pulled in TNA all those years ago.
And it's a damn shame as bar the very very top guys in the industry Jeff probably is the most over star in the last 30 years. What a waste of talent.
Jeff doesn't care.
GOAT Cena
Jeff is an addict trying to medicate pain. He is obviously going about it the wrong way. He shouldnt be wrestling and shouldnt be wrestling in hardcore matches.
Get him off tv and into rehab. He is in pain because we cheered everytime he jumped off something and broke himself.
fcuk getting him off tv and into rehab, keep him off the bloody road before he has his own 'sunny' day and kills someone.
I don't know. People always say that even when you're recovering from addiction you still have those feelings, and it can't help that Jeff's line of work involves taking a lot of pain and punishment, as well as the toll of traveling on the road all the time. For a guy like Jeff, it would be very easy to relapse. Maybe he needs Diamond Dallas Page's help who helped Scott Hall and Jake Roberts with their addictions.
Him being an addict and struggling is one thing. It's an entirely different thing for him to get behind the wheel as often as he does, it's going to end badly sooner or later. I've seen people talk about what he's put his body through since he got to AEW as well. Whether that's lead to self-medicating or it pre-dates that who knows. Again any sympathy I would have for him is thrown away once he drives under the influence.
He's also set meant to have a match for Triplemania this Saturday in Mexico.
EDIT - TMZ has released the Dashcam footage and it's not great. He struggles to bring the car to a full stop and 3 officers have guns pointed out him at that point. He is unable to do the sobriety tests. He's wearing a Jacksonville Jaguars to add insult to injury about TK. Another thing I wondered and I've seen others say the same is that he says he has a doctor's appointment for a brain scan.
Now maybe that's just him being drunk and talking nonsense but if that's true, why was he booked in a ladder match? Some questions should be asked about this. Think he appears before a judge this afternoon.
Jesus, only just read that he was arrested at 10 AM in the morning. Driving at almost 4 times the legal limit at 10AM, that's messed up.
What blew my mind is looking at the dashcam footage and seeing how busy the road he was pulled over on is. An absolute miracle nobody was hurt.
It now appears that Reigns won’t be featured on RAW during the summer months.
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Reigns is only scheduled to appear on one single edition of RAW all summer. This will once again leave the RAW brand without a World Champion.
