funnily enough, we ve all effectively had handouts, particularly many older generations, as ireland opened its economy more and more, this gave more and more better opportunities in life, and public policy has been right behind you, most of the way, making sure your interests generally have priority over others, particularly the value of your assets such as property. yes it has been extremely difficult to get to this point in your life, but spare a thought for those coming behind you, as this approach has meant their interests and needs have been the trade off! i.e. we ve all been sponges to a degree, without these supports, we d probably all be fcuked!
oh yea, its a complete myth that folks are self made, as generally an enormous amount of public supports in the form of public policy occurred in conjunction with their own hard work..... this generally is the case with the extremely wealthy also!
....in an environment of rapidly rising wealth inequality, its actually still possible for many to still engage in what seems like luxury consumption, air travel etc, yet others struggle to meet their most critical of needs, property, health care, food, etc etc etc, this is very easily seen with countries such as america.....

What is this obsession with social housing obligation re new developments, its not affected developments over the past number of years its been in place, has something changed, apart from more money being thrown at developers and tax payers now being expected to foot extra costs because of the increase in materials on public contracts, already signed an in commencement 🤔
