It's doubtful Putin has a few more years in him and even if he did sanctions would have killed off Russia economically long before that. More importantly, revolution is a perfectly valid way of changing government in Russia!
1.5 million Ukrainians taken into Russia and no one knows what has happened to them.
Nothing learned from the holocaust.
Whatever happened to it will never happen again?
Both of them murdered their way to power but still the people could have had a say if they insisted on the moral integrity of their would be leaders.
Once in power though, the Nazis gerrymandered all subsequent elections and referendums. It went from being a democracy to being a dictatorship at quite unbelievable speed. It was arguably a full blown dictatorship within two months of them coming to power (passing of the Enabling Act in March 1933).
I'm glad you posted this rather than me.
Tbh, I reckon a spinal tap style documentary of this invasion is in order.
A few years (or few months at this stage) down the line, when Putin has completely cut off the internet and outside world, on a par with N Korea, individuals will be blaming the free world for daring not to appease his invasion of Ukraine. Calling it all now.
Maybe read a history book in between posting other people tweets.
Yes I’m saying very few of any of putins elections were free and fair. Hitler and the Nazi party where elected.
Agreed - the Russian state has become a disgusting place, led by people and opinion influencers who are increasingly extreme nationalistic & fascist.
But our senate passing some meaningless motion on same is as effective as farting.
The Nazis got about 1/3 of the vote in the last elections 6 years before the war.
I'm pretty sure Putin would get a lot more than 1/3 of the Russian vote.
However I agree with your broader point, the Nazi comparison is lazy and inaccurate, the historical and political circumstances are very different. Putin is his own vile piece of work who in 100 days has led to the death of tens of thousands of people and the displacement of millions. And the seeming indifference to this among many Russians is infuriating. At the same time, I personally know quite a few Russians who are enraged and ashamed of their country. Just as there were in Nazi Germany. Not enough, but they do exist.
Are you saying that the Russian people are not to blame for Putin getting elected, but the German people were for Hitler?
100 days
The difference there is that the nazi party got a large portion of the vote prior to the war. There not been a free and far elections in Russia in some time, if ever. You don’t really have any opinion you just keep posting other peoples tweets stick to that.
If the whole population of Russia was in Ukraine killing looting and raping your statement would be more accurate, but there not
Solovyov appears to say the intention is still to take Kyiv and Lvov. The numerous Putin appeasers / fanboys in the West seem to think he just wants to annex the Donbass and may be missing the real aim here.
Stonehenge! 'Tis a magic place
Where the moon doth rise with a dragon's face
Without their nuclear threat Russia would be militarily flattened by Western forces. It would be a complete and utter turkey shoot for the most part. Ukraine going by the numbers are completely overwhelmed by Russian numbers. And yet... A full on NATO force in the country? Game over Vlad.
Those "shows" and that's what they are, are aimed at the proles of Russia. They look like drunken rantings in the pub, because they know who their audience is and that's what it's aimed at.
You can get used to a lot of things I suppose
Currently Ukraine forces are defending across a 40km front on open ground. They can’t do the hit and run tactics which kept Russians out of Kiev. There being relentlessly shelled by artillery 30 or 40km away. If Russia break out than the Ukrainians could be in trouble, this is why American howitzers are needed.
The senate didn’t call them nazi however.
Which one of them is the Russian Marty Morrissey - i.e. the most dangerous one?
...
The Poles:
He will when he's dead before 2023
They aren't empty, that's the thing. Putin will never stop trying to expand his "empire". It's important that this is understood.
Pretty much, yeah.
Who remembers this shoddy propaganda video of a North Korean man peacefully dreaming about the fiery destruction of an American city by nuclear missile?
The only thing Russia has any serious capability to attack the West with results in their own destruction in return. To paraphrase Conor McGregor, "they'll do f*ckin' nothin'".
They are not going to capture Severodonetsk and Lysychansk in the next two weeks and to capture the entire Donbass in two weeks they will need to nuke it!
Then why keep posting it when the threats are obviously empty and we've heard it all before? About as relevant as the rants of North Korea against the West.
..
They have being trying the "encircle plan" for a long time now.Ukraine are the side with the clever plans,Russia really uses one plan which is Artillery and advance with weak troops to see what's happening then advance with strong troops
