The real reason for this war
Incredible pictures of the Azovstal defenders! Denys Tsyperko, Ukrainian concept artist
"the Swedish Navy has two types of coastal anti-ship complexes at its disposal. The first is the RBS-17 Hellfire short-range RCC, an AGM-114 Hellfire missile adapted for shooting at naval targets. The firing range of such a missile is 9 kilometers.
The second type is RBS-15, with a range of up to 300 kilometers. For comparison - the anti-ship missile Harpoon in the ground version has a range of up to 125 kilometers"
RBS-15 please,
Dead Russians. Serious stuff
The Swedish are getting involved too , sending more Anti tank weapons and antiship missles on top of other munitions
This whole nazi thing is just an excuse. Britain has neo nazis so maybe we should invade? As for the separatists, they are Useful idiot - Wikipedia
Doesn't sound to terrible ( unless it's your own loved ones I know ) ....until you multiply it up by the day 700 and 3500 a week ... By the month .. a year , I'm struggling to imagine it ...
And I can't imagine the Russian figure are good either
Isn't that what he's already doing ?
In fairness if some randomer asked me for my personal details to be input into his ipad I'd tell him to jog on too.
Nice gesture.
My bad. Interesting stats. though.
... a few hostile Russian or Chinese warships sailed into Cork ...
Ah, gentrification! 😉
Not sure how that related to what I said. Are you sure you quoted the right post?
??? --->
On one hand i was worried that the land around Kiev was now dry and easier for tanks to move across, but now the Ukrainians have had time to prepare their cities in the west it wont be easy getting anywhere near them
..
N. Korea in Russian. Sad that a country has militarism for its religion.
Worth following this series of interviews from the American (James Vasquez) that popped up in a few video clips during the conflict. Back in the US now. He discusses the command "structure" around Kyiv and how a group of 50 of them managed to take out 200 Russians and 7 armoured vehicles in his first battle. He was on his way to his first assignment with around 6/7 others but got pulled into the other battle as they needed more numbers. Mad stuff. You can see him welling up a little as he avoids discussing some of the atrocities the Russians inflicted on the locals in liberated areas.
When actually is the last time Putin was seen out and about? Even near the start there wasn't all that much from him, seeing less and less.
The thought of dying must really kill Putin, pun intended.
Some hope of that.. will take years for us to wrestle with our conscience and see who comes out on top.
Unless of course, a few hostile Russian or Chinese warships sailed into Cork - then we'd be all over it like a rash, panic stations.
What's more, Ukraine's command & control system is far less centralised, even company commanders and platoon leaders have significantly more tactical freedom than their counterparts in the Russian armed forces. This was introduced as part of the 2014 military reforms that saw Ukraine step away from the highly centralised command model that had been prevalent in the Red Army and Warsaw Pact forces. So if things get too "hot" in a certain location, the decision to move to a more advantageous position can be made on the spot, rather than having to go up the chain to HQ and back.
As much as I'd like it to be true, many of these are propaganda figures. For more accurate loss counts check Oryx.
The Oryx figures are considered to be approx. 20% below the real figure (recent captured Russian documents on losses demonstrated this)
Still staggering figures in there, e.g. Ukrainians have taken out 750 Russian main battle tanks, capturing almost a third of them
Is there a Ukrainian version of that?, hard to believe Ukraine has many fighters or helicopters left if Russia lost that many..
It was a turkey shoot for the Ukrainians for the first few weeks of the war. Maybe 6 or 8 thousand?
This was the projected tale of the tape as the invasion was beginning or about to begin and in Russia's case more of an estimate of overall forces available rather than what was committed to fight in Ukraine. Even allowing that, the percentages that Ukraine has been able to neutralise/destroy are not inconsiderable, but rather more so when you factor in what Russia has committed and what is likely serviceable or usable.
I hope you are correct but attack/defence is usually a ratio of 3/1.If Russia have lost 30'000 then the maths predict 10'000.Ukraine have been more clever than Russia as they are not using canon fodder tactics as they respect their soldiers
100 per day only applies to the recent battles in the east. It was not like this from the beginning.
