Unless you have some actual evidence as I suggest already then we agree that the government part was to shut down the dodgy accounts. As I said, we will have to put it down to pure chance that opposition supporters had all the information they would need available and ready to go straight away after it happened. Pure luck
I don't think that those "people online" quite understood what was happening with the pirate flag thing. That was a social media trend and many of those were replaced with Ukrainian flag emojis. As has been shown above, FG has a history with Social Media and your attempt to blame people who don't support the government for the likes on various government tweets is not supported by any evidence.

You need to compose yourself. The topic is government parties using fake accounts. All I claimed was Leo floated the idea and we know fake likes and retweets were given from Turkey.
The rest is you calling out a claim I never made.
Also I know only too well if a FG'er member confesses and apologises for something yourself and fellow travelers will swear blind he never did it. Fun, but damages any argument you might raise.
To be fair, there is not a single piece of evidence that they have engaged in such stuff, however, another party has self-admitted that its supporters are a problem on social media and on several occasions have had to appeal to them to stop, which obviously didn't work, given recent experiences.
These accounts were liking FF tweets before the Donnelly tweets were noticed.

What evidence? The only evidence we seen is that the government contacted twitter and got it shut down.

If the opposition wasn't ranting and raving you would be concerned. I remember on another website they had the PBP lad who was ranting and raving about Ukraine. A few overseas people seen and impressed by his enthusiasm and concern.
It was a week later and someone posted up another video, same lad, same ranting, different subject. Very quickly they figured out all about him.

You don't have any evidence about who was responsible for the likes on that tweet. You seem to consistently push a pro-FFG narrative. As for the pirate flags, a lot of these things are event-driven. It is the whole Social Media "influencer" thing in action.
That's the point here, nobody knows who arranged it. Brokenangel has just accepted the word of the people caught doing it. A story that is very similar to the one FG used to explain why they were suddenly getting likes on Facebook.
It's clear that a full scale independent inquiry into all parties is required but will that be instigated, nope, not when some political capital can be gained.

No, that legislation had a different aim, it was like SLAPPs cases taken by SF, designed to shut down opposition to them.
There is less than half that amount of people who are long term unemployed in the state. It's approx 43k.
The problem isn't those who are long-term unemployed, it is those on other forms of social welfare which are way out of line with the rest of Europe.

The problem would be in identifying who paid. FG has a history that is highly problematic (Varadkar and his suggestion of fake accounts to promote FG). Don't think that any party would want an inquiry. The Stasi-style instincts of those who want to deanonymise Social Media accounts is a major problem. Even the Germans rowed back on some of the extremist EU proposals on compromising encryption on SM sites and software. There were some proposed amendments to the NIS2 directive but they were rejected. That's a masterpiece in sheer cluelessness (the people creating the legislation did not understand what they were askinng when it came to the technology and the people advising them on the technology did not appear to be able to quantify the scale of what the legislation would require) when it comes to the DNS issue. Basically, they wanted the operator of DNSes to be identified without knowing how many DNSes were in operation or would be affected by the legislation. Playing whack-a-mole with Turkish clickbots on Social Media might be a waste of money.
