Turkish bot farms?
When people talk about the issues with the online "community" I think this is an excellent example of why Twitter and other providers need to lock down these fake accounts
Look at the amount of fake account under this one post. It really is embarrassing now how bad this has got in Ireland. Some people have a lot to answer for.
Time for some updated laws as well to stop this online carry on.
It is a good point.
If we had followed a policy of rolling over for Putin, as was advocated up until December by the opposition, we wouldn't have had this cost-of-living crisis. We would have had the extinction of Ukraine on our conscience though.
You are aware you can become a TD as well if you want? no qualification, no degree etc required. Maybe try the job before calling them "idiots" and "doopy"
Unemployment touched 15% so what was the other 85% doing? We always circa have 5% unemployed at the best of times so that 10%. So "tons of companies"? I would expect a lot of these are sole traders etc as they had to close business during covid.
So supporting people during a pandemic is now "wasted billions"?
Interesting that you are answering for another poster?
No 'doopy'
presumably reminiscent of this
Where’s the hard proof they “saved lives” exactly? Tons of other companies let people go during the pandemic. Unemployment touched 15% and we wasted billions in PUP thanks once again to the hysterical lockdown policies of these idiots. So no, “every other company” certainly did not do this as they could y afford to. Again impossible for the likes of cushioned TDs to get their heads around as they imagine cash grows on trees.
So now we are calling TD's "dopey"?
The lockdowns and policies, let me remind you, which saved thousands of lives. The DAA had plenty of option available to keep staff on the payroll. If every other company in Ireland was able to do it why wasn't the DAA?
Listening to those doopy government TDs on the radio in the transport committee hanging DAA out to dry- it was the Lockdowns these idiots were screaming for that has caused this whole mess- the airport couldn’t afford to keep staff on with no business coming through. Thanks to government policy- remember the Gardai installed outside the airport- it’s not long ago.
NAMA sold the Citywest Hotel for only €30m. The Govt paid €21m to rent it during Covid and now are paying an estimated €25m to rent it again. But the Left can’t be trusted with the economy
Its the tag all critics as shinners but if they are shinners, tag them all as putin. Its the last desperate tactic of a dying good for nothing civil war era. Pathetic. The people need governance not quips.
Worse now than any other time in the last 40 years and your only input is an attempted 'gotcha'. Seems about right.
Eh what?
We are failing to reach our climate action targets along with most other targets = carbon taxes are working
Stay in the Yard
Plenty of large building have ghosts etc but not really a discussion for the government thread. A few people would be interested here: https://www.boards.ie/categories/paranormal-creepy-mysterious
There's always a handy friend to confirm what some posters are saying or a secret poll of 'de people' which can be used to underscore a point.
You are obsessed with SF.
Not to stop you but......if you managed to read the post I was just confirming that all the parties want to keep carbon tax and it's doing it job.
But please continue......
Get up the yard
I know from a builder friend that there are ghosts in the Jervis shopping centre.
Basically its Sinn Fein and others fault the Govt are failing in most areas they are in charge of.
You didn't need a big long post to just say that
Priorities! Couldn't be embarassing ourselves in front of the VIPs. At least we might see some competence at the DAA now. Arses should have been kicked long ago.
.
Are you saying it doesn't work because that is incorrect
The uptake in electric cars even before the Ukraine war was on the rise massively. I know from a builder friend that people will not buy houses unless they are A rated if its a new build etc etc
Remember none of the main parties wanted to get rid of carbon taxes. Some of them got confused about what they wanted to do and as such confused some people in Ireland.
Or maybe the likes of this lazy revenue generating rubbish make fcuk all difference to so called climate “change”.
Yes, on going support of Developers 😉
Thankfully they remain committed to the carbon tax. It would be so much worse if we were cutting that.
Last years Climate Action Plan is already failing.
'Urgent' implementation of climate plans needed - EPA (rte.ie)
In summary, the report confirms that Ireland is way off course.
There is a huge gap between the ambitions of Ireland's legally binding Climate Act, which targets a 51% cut in emissions by 2030, and the actions needed to deliver on that ambition.
The report highlights that even in the unlikely event that every planned climate policy and measure outlined in the Climate Action Plan were fully implemented on time, Ireland’s greenhouse gas emissions would only fall by 28% by 2030 - a little over half what is legally required.
The Government's carbon budgets - the major new policy instrument for enforcing climate action on all sectors - already look to be in deep trouble.
...
Even with a Green coalition, they cannot produce a credible plan. Is there any area of government policy that is doing well???
Yep. A decision made by Minister P Flynn of FF at the time. He said councils could fund the building of new social housing using the money they made of selling the existing social housing. Think there was a link here to a youtube video about this on here.
No I corrected your incorrect assertion I posted something I didn't.
I'm assuming from your attitude its not at all the fault of DAA who are answerable to Government.
Deflection doesnt change the facts on who's responsible for this shocking debacle or the fact its happened after a prolonged period of utter incompetence
But keep on trying, it's amusing.
So the dogs on the street had more intuition. Grand so. Thanks for clearing that up.
A so the dogs on the street, to include me and most people with common sense seeing this train wreck happening is some how turned into a claim I posted something I didn't 🤔
Seriously, a blind person saw this coming, 800 staff made redundant, months to prepare for increased traffic, questionable hiring practices, reports of discontent over the past few months, an experienced travel writer discribed the airport as filty last week. This goes beyond security staff, the DAA is a basket case.
Were you not one of the dogs on the street that saw this coming ?
I'm sure if you were you would have posted about the impending doom.
Or perhaps you decided to wait and see.
