Obi Wan Kenobi
That last 25 seconds of Ep 2 of Obi Wan Kenobi...holy feck...
When the good guy with a gun starts firing, how can you tell who the good guy is
I'd also bet in most situations the "good guys with guns" are more likely to panic and blast their way through every other good guy who stands between them and safety.
This type of stuff is fairly common.

What's your threshold for "fairly common". Data I saw recently suggests it happens less than 5% of the time.
As a Leinster sth and Liverpool supporter growing up, today has not been a great day.
This might cheer you up (England are going to win the World Cup):
Neil, as always, you are the soul of kindness and compassion.
Anyone watching Stranger Things? Two episodes in and I’m really enjoying it.
I've been watching Cowboy Bebop. Pretty decent after 4 episodes.
Also just finished The Fall which is well worth a look
The fall is a hard watch at times. I didn't think there was three seasons of content but parts of that last season were shocking.
Stranger Things has been consistently good since season 1.
Am enjoying better call Saul and first two episodes of Kenobi are promising (Boba Fett having been quite average for the most part).
Am watching "We own this City" which looks like an attempt to be this generations "The Wire" but I'm struggling with it, good in parts but not engaging.
Am well behind on most of these shows due to time constraints but it's good having things to watch after lockdown starved new content.
New Doctor Strange was good too.
Couldn't get into Stranger Things, bit too creepy for me.
Dark is excellent on Netflix if you are willing to read subtitles (it's German). There's a dubbed version, but don't watch that.
Top boy is very good!
Any of you have an Irish Times sub? Is the app decent?
My Dad does and thinks it’s great.
i had for a couple of years up to recently. its decent and easy to use. Still just a news app though
There's an ePaper app though too right?
there is, i didnt bother with that.
might be useful if you use a tablet a lot, or a phablet
KBC Ireland winding down current accounts and completely let it slide to arrange an alternative. Anyone recommend a bank for their current a/c service? Ideally with as hassle free a switching process as possible.
I was considering moving to An Post current account. Had my fill of BOI and AIB. And KBC
I am looking at switching to Bunq (bunq | bank of The Free).
Been using it for about 3 weeks on a trial. There's a fixed monthly cost, but it is far more modern and feature rich than the tradtional banks.
How would it compare with the likes of N26?
It's similar but the big difference is Bunq give you an Irish IBAN while N26 give you a German one. But N26 is free as far as I remember, Bunq have monthly fees. N26 having some issues with regulators too in Germany.
It has nifty features, for example I can open and close "sub accounts" in my app instantly, where I basically divide my money up into different accounts, and then you can set up your Mastercards to have 2 PINs, and depending on what PIN you use it'll take the money from a specific sub-account.
What's the difference between them and revolut?
The sub account feature isn’t in Revolut, you can only have one account per currency.
bunq also has joint accounts, Revolut doesn’t.
and Revolut gives you a Lithuanian IBAN.
Bunq doesn’t have the crypto features though so not as useful if you enjoy spending your money on Ponzi schemes.
Revolut have Irish IBAN's now and regular protection of a normal bank on deposits. Bunq's charges look a lot more reasonable though.
Revolut don’t have Irish IBANs. That plan was cancelled. Still Lithuanian.
I think Revolut is cheaper for foreign spending.
Saw a comparison and they do percentage where bunq do a flat fee. Percentage charges can absolutely **** off.
https://www.moneyguideireland.com/bunq-vs-revolut-a-comparison.html#:~:text=bunq%20will%20charge%202%25%20in,amount%20has%20no%20conversion%20fees.&text=If%20you%20need%20to%20receive,than%20bunq%20Easy%20Bank%20Account%20.
Yea. THe chart is slightly wrong though, it says Bunq charges 0.5% for top up via Debit card, but it doesn't mention you can top up by Debit card by up to €500 a month for no fee, it's only when you go over this they start charging.
The chart also says no Direct Debits with Bunq, this is incorrect too.
Revolut has left me almost never using my AIB account. Basically I transfer enough to revolut that I can tap or transfer money to the kids.
AIB is just for receiving payments and for current direct debits (sky, mobile phone etc).
I was in Toronto last year and used revolut everywhere. I never handled a note or a coin the entire time I was there. Zero charges.
