Labour isn't a Left wing party. Its gleeful imposition of Austerity and the Water Tax demonstrated that. It wants to get its claws into the SocDems because some of the former Labour vote drifted there (along with the Greens). Some of the genuinely Left wing parties such as PBP are ideologically driven and have a geographically concentrated vote. As for Labour, it sold is soul long ago for Mercs, percs, and ministerial pensions.

Too late. We had a FF'er assault a pensioner, we've had a FF'er cover for a pedophile, we had a FG'er glass someone in a bar fight. We've had both parties cover for child rapes and the selling of babies on a national scale. We have one mass grave of dead babies that we know of as FF/FG drag their heels on exhumation and looking for more grave sites, because their likely is more. We've numerous members of those parties engaged in fraud. The absolute worse thing a new government can do, is behave like FF/FG.

With the latest poll I'd imagine we are going to experience an onslaught of warnings about an impending totalitarian state if 'the people' don't come to their sense and vote for the power swap that has us where we are. I'd imagine 'the 'people' will see through it too as they have up to now.
The FG FF nexus can't seem to get a strategy together to counter effectively. Down to 35% share of the vote from a one time dizzy height of 86%.

The opinions polls have been like this for months. No idea why anyone thinks this is a huge event.
The only opinion poll that counts is an election, have always said that and it ain't going to change anytime soon.
The current leader of FG was the subject of a criminal investigation by the Gardai and the file has been submitted to the DPP. SF now has more support than FF and FG combined. Labour is at a historic low of 3% in the same RedC poll. RTE has cancelled this week's The Week In Politics show. And there's still that Siteserv report. FFGers still don't get why the SF support is quickly morphing into an "Anyone But FFG" vote and try to disparage a party that has never been in government. Even with the aid of Turkish clickfarms, things are not working out for FFG.

The only "Turkish clickfarms" around is used by the opposition. The desperation of them trying to point at FF for using them fooled no-one, sorry not no-one, Im sure a few believed it. The fact FF reported it to Twitter and got all the accounts banned proved they had nothing to do with it
Good try by mentioning it. It is funny across all social media etc it was oppositions supporters who had all the information on it, almost as if they had it ready at hand before the actual event. Some of the information would have taken weeks to consolidate, but no it just appeared with minutes. Pure luck I guess they had it available.
It's why regulation and oversight generally in this country isn't worth very much - the old "commercially sensitive" line being tossed out here again.
It's too small a country with the top tier interconnected at too many levels, and with too many conflicts of interests (both personally and professionally) for any real hope of things like reform and consequences for those caught out.
Look back at any scandal over the years. Despite all the song and dance in the media and in the Dail, very VERY few have ever faced real punishment as a result of their actions.
Expecting it is unfortunately akin to asking turkeys to vote for Christmas.
Sounds like a good idea abused and for some reason being covered up by the people supposed to look out for our tax money and they won't give us details because its 'commercially sensitive'. Another case of the tax payer taking a back seat to private profits.
I doubt the coalition of chaos will have much respite during summer recess. They have created such a shitshow across housing, health and national debt that they will be fire fighting throughout the summer. And the nest feathering will continue unabated as they eye up a disaster in the next General Election and loss of the power swap codology.

Even at the lowest lowest ebb for the government the main rival hasn't even got a majority on an opinion poll to take over the government. Yet we have claims of ALL youth voters for SF and the doom of the coalition.
Which is about the two hundred prediction I would hazard a guess since these threads got started.

You appear to be an FG supporter or at least an FFG supporter from your posts. FG has had a rather troubled history with Social Media. Its first social media guru ended up serving a federal prison sentence and the FG supporters site from that era was compromised. Then there is the unseemly spectacle of an FG taoiseach working quotes from "Mean Girls" into a political speech for likes on Twitter. And who could forget the the attempt by FG to make nasty policies appear popular by buying Facebook likes from India/Pakistan/etc.
FF hasn't been good at Social Media ever since it could no longer afford Blue State Digital. It's Deirdre Of The Sorrows effort in the Dublin Bay South bye-election was absolutely cringeworthy. Then there are the obvious FG meatbots who respond to every anti-FFG tweet. It is laughable to see such cack-handed, amateurish attempts at propaganda on Social Media.
Social Media is a very different environment to that of a captive media with willing presstitutes ready to recycle every press release.
