Is he there? I didn't hear much this week so not sure if he mentioned one way or the other...
Ken's match report Monday should be interesting.
Ken was a bit worse for wear on Fridays podcast. Are we going to see a second captains intervention ?
I'd rather to listen to Ken talk GAA with Murph than any of the pundits.
Even if it felt a bit scripted, they need to make more Ken + Murph GAA podcasts. Best GAA episode I've heard from them
I had to burst out laughing when Ken couldn't remember the name of the hurling trophy.
And not knowing that his beloved Dubs were out.
Murph getting offended at any vaguely negative comment about Galway is pretty funny.
Listening to Ken talking to Murph about any sport other than soccer is hilarious. It's like Murph is trying to explain hurling to some drunk yank in a pub
That audio of Pep "crying" when aguero is both the most pathetic and hilarious things I've heard. Steve Coogan wouldn't even write it for Alan Partridge as it's just too far even for him. I'd listen to ken and murph talking about it for an entire show
Lots of it is staged most likely. They don't just arrive and chat. They sometimes know how the conversation will go and how to steer the conversation.
I thought his questioning of the A/I timings were a bit staged TBH. Seemed like Murph wanted to vent and as Eoin wasn't there, they set it up via Ken.
Had to laught at Ken starting with Saipan on the football podcast 😂
His cupla focal at the end of the GAA podcast also made me chuckle
Miguel's audio at an all time level of **** today
It's an active case I presume
Oh, I know and you know and they know but "we can't talk about it".
Surely you've heard the "rumours"?
"Sigurdsson who couldn't play for reasons we can't discuss"
🤔
I was disappointed that in the episode where they were discussing the merits of over excited commentary they didn't play kens Thierry Henry basketball style commentary audio bed.
Really enjoyed today's episode. Two Everton lads came across quite well. They'll need to update the Super Frank audiobed though
Ken ruined it...
I don't mind Martin Tyler to be honest. I like non intense approach.
Eoin's story was nice.
There’s a huge gap between someone screaming and shouting, and what he does.
Even just his regular non-goal commentary is dour and depressed sounding over the past few years. He’s just not anywhere near as good a commentator as he used to be anymore… I mean, he’s 76, it’s not unexpected. He seems a very nice man, but he just doesn’t have the energy for it these days.
I don't think that was the point at all.
Nor would I agree he sucks the excitement out of the occasion! Most of these goals are not remotely unexpected or particularly dramatic. Can't be screaming and shouting like a lunatic the entire time. You've nowhere to go when something truly dramatic or significant happens then.
Yup… really makes you wonder why Sky persist with him as their main guy. Like, he’s on every big game, and actively sucks the excitement out of the occasion. Have to wonder how any up-coming commentators that have been serving their time for an eternity feel with this fella a permanent fixture at the very top of the business.
That bit on Martin Tyler being biased was very good. Didn't really expect Ken to go into such detail over it
If Ken's rendition of the song from Le Mis was on Spotify it would probably on my "top choices"
What a song. What a juxtapose. What a guy.
I took that to refer to his work. As in all i do is watch sport and either waffle on a podcast or waffle in the paper once a week.
Exactly, Dyche seems to be an expert in saying nothing.
Over-active imagination here.
I did notice that comment at the time but didn't think of anything with his wife.
