So a brand new 1 bed apartment at €1K a month is in my opinion perfect for a working couple. I would call that affordable.

Seriously a name change on a dreadful service is going to make the slightest bit of difference , utter codswallop. The fact they are agreeing to remove "Express" from the name of the service suggests its not an express service.
Interestingly I heard Miss Higgins on the radio on Monday talking about this , she also said there's an online option and it's €5 cheaper, in essence encouraging people to NOT use the PO , this i found very odd when a month ago , Heather Humphries and indeed Hildegarde Naughton making all sorts of promises in support of the PO , indeed Hildegarde Naughton last week, proposing a €1000 per month stipend for post master's.

Upgrade parts, or whatever needs doing to get it up to 'express'. Nobody to my knowledge is 'het up' about it. It was a comment referring to another post about how useless another TD is. But... If I were to choose to get 'het up' about the that sort of nonsense for the wages they are on etc.. I wouldn't let your opinion of whether or not I should, stop me.
There is an online service already for renewals and it was decent at one time , I got passport renewed via online , mid 2019 , had new one back in a week. It would seem every option including online is a mess and has been for over two years now . Pandemic may have caused initial delays but its not as if people were travelling for the best part of 14 month's.

We had governments full of terrorists, criminals and antisemites. We are moving away from that as those parties lose more and more support.

We are mirroring the 1920s in Europe. The rise of left and right-wing fascism is a real danger.
Yet when you speak to any FGer, they will tell you FF are disappearing and will be gone soon enough etc. That SF are just taking up FF's mantle etc.

I honestly can't see how FG plan to come back after they're gone. Usually they older ones retire and the younger generation step in. Those lot (except Leo) plan on being there for a long time, and each one more useless than the last. Helen McEntee is beyond useless. In fact she is so useless she is now using MM's phrase for the ages..

FG are actually WORSE than FF all things considered. They're only ever elected as a protest vote when FF lose the run of themselves, and then only until they make things so bad as to make FF electable again!
