Sixty-three percent of people in Ireland say they have “little to no” disposable income due to the cost of living crisis, according to a poll.
Younger people are feeling the pinch the most as 75pc of 18 to 34-year-olds said their quality of life has reduced, according to the new Business Post/ Red C poll.
Seventy-three percent of those surveyed said they have started to buy cheaper food to reduce their weekly shopping bill, while 50pc said they are now using savings or credit to pay for everyday living expenses.
Sure everyone's having a great time
“Aye... and if my uncle had a fanny,he'd be my Aunt”
@Marine Layer not anymore. Your uncle could have a vagina, a penis, both or neither.
Never claimed that, but the majority aren't it seems. There's a reason behind people's voting patterns changing and I don't think it's because everyone wants to suddenly vote SF because they want a ui or be classed as republicans. I think its because they're fed up waiting on the current govt parties to deliver what they have been promising for several elections on several issues. Housing, Health etc etc.
Just read RTE article on Sonya Egan case. Harassing two SF members. Absolute nutcase. How on earth she get away with it for so long..
^^^
She most likely took a leaf out of Sf's 'Northern Ireland how to do things book' considering that is similar to what the Sf party did to anyone who ran against their candidates in the passed.
What I thought was interesting is that Jonathon O'Brien was dropped like a hot potato by SF once he was involved in this case. No support from the party for what he was going through. Fits with the complete disregard for victims, even their own.
Do you feel good making things up?

Mr O’Brien said at the age of 48 and having been in full-time politics for 20 years, he wanted to do something different.
“This has been a difficult decision for me to make and it is one that I have made after several months of consideration,” he stated.
“I have contested seven elections on behalf of Sinn Féin and I want to thank the voters for giving me the opportunity to represent them. I have always served in public office to the best of my ability as a proud member of Sinn Féin, as an Irish Republican and a socialist.
Don't tell me you believe what a SF public representative says?????
Nope i believed the man himself
Wh did you lie and say "What I thought was interesting is that Jonathon O'Brien was dropped like a hot potato by SF once he was involved in this case"
When in a hole, stop digging.
What are you accusing him of?
All I can say is I meet J Brien a few years ago in Cork as part of a public mental health meeting. He had a young pup in toe and I can't say I had much time for either of them. I am not surprised that he is getting out of the game as a good number of Sf TDs are in the job after being pushed into the game by party directors who are always on the lookout for ideal candidates to match a particular voting area. IE Young and able to get the young vote. A few older types in Sf in Cork did not like being pushed aside by such opportunism by the party directors. In short, the man in question seemed only half interested in politics. Sorry but I just don't have too much sympathy.
Not according to Leo who wants to go back in government so that he and FG can stop SF going into government. If this was FF who was the main opposition he would easily sit on the sidelines. He must be seriously worried.
Surprised she still has her kneecaps intact.
He has lied on various threads and when called up on it, he deflects.

Hilarious to see Sinn Fein and their puppets being caught out once again.
Sinn Féin election worker jailed for robbing chronically ill pensioner while hanging Mary Lou McDonald posters
At least he wasn’t involved in the Regency Hotel hit I suppose. I wonder was he one of the 200+ employees of SF?
“Mr Fitzgerald, who had 23 prior criminal convictions, pleaded not guilty to the robbery but was convicted.”
“The accused's criminal record had previous 10 convictions under the Road Traffic Act, one for assault, three public order offences, four drugs charges, and possessing a weapon, failing to appear in court and criminal damage.”
My favourite line:
”His counsel asked the judge to note he worked full time in the hospitality industry and was a “contributing member of society”.
Well, I don't believe him that it was his own decision. In Sinn Fein, you don't have much freedom to make your own decisions.
Well, we now know which party will win "Worst Election Worker of the Year" Award again.
What a complete scumbag.
Just looked it up, O'Snodaigh's constituency. Quelle surprise.
Why did you lie and make out as it was a fact he left over the stalking issue? Says a lot when you must resort to lies and making up stuff to have a go at a political party
"Despite all the allegations of his close ties with people involved in the IRA, he says, "Nobody connected with criminality has a place within the republican movement"."
Sean Fitzgerald better watch his back.
For facts I need a link, for opinions I don't.
It remains my opinion that O'Brien was dropped by SF because of the stalking issue and that what he said was a facade because the public didn't know the details and SF didn't want them to know. So no lie, just an opinion which fits the facts.
Its a conspiracy
SF seem to attract a lot of conspiracies, to be fair. And, more than a few, turn out to be true.
Victim mentality from Sinn Fein supporters. Not believing politicians isn't confined to SF ones, so no conspiracy.
No doubt we will be hearing soon how FitzGerald is a “good Republican”.
Im old enough to remember the media here sneering at shinners,as conspiracy theory, for saying collusion was real and being used to slaughter innocent nationlists
Deos anyone doubt it anymore
Have to laugh, bloke is literally fuming he cant indulge in his obsession, and critise a party for backing wrong-doing.....so just critises em for not doing wrong
The internet really rots peoples brains, and otherwise seemingly normal people end up like this😁
