Out of 10 attempts it probably works once at most, why not carry instead? What is the logic in box kicking and handing possession back, and as a result mostly losing even more terrirtory because of it? It's not a valid tactical option it's a hopeless one and we seem to be crazy for it

Didn’t we get field position and score a try from it earlier in this game? I’d like to see us go thru the hands more (and we’re trying but not quite accurate enough) but it’s not accurate to say the box-kick serves no purpose.

Munster are in serious trouble though. They had a stronger 15, even with their absent players, but never looked to be capable of imposing their gameplan.

I can't even tell what they were trying to do in phase play. Murray and Carbery were dreadful. The former slowed everything down and the latter stayed so deep as to stifle any potential backline attacks. Carbery was also guilty of poor decision making too often as well as his customary shaky defence.

The complete telegraphing of it was the real crime. If he was trying to catch leinster out within 10m, he gave them plenty of notice to get back.

I hope and hope that Rowntree will punish that constant box kicking with death - it serves no purpose other than a clearance but Munster time and time again do it and it never works, it has never worked and it needs to stop. It's the single most infuriating aspect of our play, I hate it

Utterly delighted with the result and Leinster performance. There were a lot of young and relatively inexperienced players out there today, but they stuck to the gameplan, showed great hands in attack and discipline in defence. They also weren't afraid to mix it physically against a stronger Munster pack on paper.

Penney, McCarthy and Osborne were my standouts of the younger players. Larmour, who's still young himself, was my MOTM.
