Remember this guy? South Korean Navy Seal who went to fight for Ukraine.
..
Zelenskyy to make a statement on the defenders of Mariupol later on .
What ever happens now the AZOZ battalion will go down in history as true legends ,the defense of Mariupol will be talked about for decades
Fascinating clip from Russian TV tonight. The reality of how bad things are overall militarily and just how isolated Russia is in the world is slowly starting to sink in. Look at how subdued host Olga Skabayeva is compared to a few weeks ago.
He's the only guy that has been talking sense in Russia
some interesting changes in tone.... I can see this being turned into "there are millions of armed Ukrainians who want to attack Russia" with "it's the EU and NATO's fault we have to take X steps to counter this"
He's still probably a lone voice (Solovyov and his guests sound completely unhinged in comparison) but at least he got on air.
could be preparing the Russian population for a climb down strategy and withdrawal of troops. Big change from the usual war mongering talk.
could be preparing to use the failure of the conventional campaign to justify a nuclear strike. But that would really put Russian in the Global isolation doghouse.
wouldn’t be surprised if Putin used the withdrawal of troops as a bargaining chip for Finland withdrawing its NATO application either. Russia has a deep respect and sort of Nostalgic attachment to Finland even Stalin was happy enough to leave them be.
Some Novichok is likely to be finding its way in to his tea soon...or has he been planted there to play the first few notes in a change of the Moscow mood music?
So, your neighbours wife, tell us more.
His comment right at the end is intriguing : "This is a situation we need to get out of" (being isolated). This is the first time we've heard the state narrative being challenged, Up to now, the official line was that being isolated and the sanctions were no problem whatsoever.
Putin won’t leave this world without witnessing a nuke. The foreplay is nearly over.
Jesus, how is he allowed to tell the truth. Gobsmacked that was allowed to go on... stupid brave, or teeing up a coup? He's basically calling Putin a bumbling buffoon.
I think the Finland situation has been an eye opener for many Russians. Maybe there are some here more qualified to talk about the Russian/Finnish relationship. I’d imagine it would be like falling out with a sound inoffensive friend in your group. Maybe it would make you think. Maybe I’m being a prick here.
Turkey should be thrown out of NATO. Sweden and Finland are far more important members.
There are 3 conditions:
He has to be alive in order to make that decision.
Then, if he makes that decision, it depends on whether he is obeyed.
So - Alive, Decide & Obeyed
You make it sound like Putin is about to have his arse banged in a big dick, gay porno movie.
"This is a situation we need to get out of". Very surprised that this admission of weakness/ possible defeat was allowed on Putin TV. Yes, the ghoul Olga Skab has had her cough softened.
So confirmed
Re Turkey, not sure if they can expel a member. Pretty sure they could start up NATO 2 and invite who they like and let NATO go into abeyance. Turkey can't be allowed to veto based on spurious claims.
Yeah that won't be happening any time soon. Turkey is currently under the thumb of an arsehole, and unfortunately I've a feeling he's only just holding the place together but it's one of the most important pivots in the world. I doubt they'll be getting on the Russian's side any time soon but that's not something we need to ever happen.
So 266 (probably 500 to 1000 initially) soldiers tied up a very large chunk of the red army.
Some boyos them !! Or should I say fair **** to them
Just injured or everybody?
Unfortunately, having Turkey in NATO is one of those necessary evils. Large standing army, control the Bosphorus, and keep Russia in check on the Black Sea.
It's a deeply f*cked country socially however, and the record of coups and funny business in Ankara must have kept the Turkey desk in intelligence agencies busy for decades trying to figure out what was going on.
Outside European Turkey and away from the coasts, it's Borat land.
Most flakey NATO member by a long shot, but they're better in than out for all of our sakes. Their membership is one of the few threads binding it to the West, and there's a high degree of likelihood they'd go off the reservation if they weren't in the tent.
53 injured. But there is something smelly about it...
I can see him having a serious tantrum over this
Hungary might contend with turkey for the title of flakiest NATO member ...
Joel Hills, the Economics Editor of ITV News, reported that the effective closure of the Black Sea to commercial shipping means that 25 million tons of grain is stranded in Ukrainian warehouses.
Why can't lorries be used to transport the grain to eastern European states that are in the EU and from which the grain can be transported by plane?
I'm LOLing here. This will seriously sting him - I get the impression Solovyov's villa and his holidays there were a big part of his life.
A recent episode of War on the Rocks podcast (a must listen to keep track of what's going on - made by military experts) put it like this:
It takes ten men to evacuate an injured soldier, but only two to bury a dead one.
In the cruel calculus of war, in a cruel and disorganized military that's losing face, materiel, and brigades by the bushel - shooting severely injured soldiers instead of getting them to safety might seem a good idea.
