Many suspected that there was a mole in the FSB. What did this person/s do well it’s though amongst other things that they managed to delay no stop events such as the push for zelyenski, apparently they, the Russians were very close at it is said the mole muddied the water just enough to cause confusion. Of course oan individual like this would be good enough to cover his/her tracks that the reason for the scatter gun purge.

As sure as night turns to day, Russian state TV will belch out bellicose jingoism. What would be far more interesting at this stage would be any signs in their media of an acceptance that things aren't going as well as planned and a discontent about that.

I'm no expert, but threatening to nuke the other isn't part of the treaty. It's almost as if Russia can't be trusted in these matters.

If somebody had intelligence about a genuine coup attempt, they most certainly wouldn't be mentioning it.
Saying there is a coup attempt underway in the Kremlin isn't really saying anything that Putin isn't already paranoid as hell about, would be my guess. Whether it's true or not, I believe the idea behind publicly suggesting it is to rattle Putin even further than he already has been and ideally make him turn on his own advisors and have them turn on him as well. That puts the Russian leadership into disarray and affects their ability to make wise decisions, which in turn would hopefully hamper the Russian military's already ragged performance in Ukraine.
I think all these "leaks" and rumours about coups are more for keeping the idea of a coup in the minds of those within Putin's circle, and the army chiefs. I've no doubt there's something brewing in Russia anyway.
The more talk of a possible coup that appears in all the different media the better.
