Looks like a change of tune coming out of Hungary with a new president at the top of the table
What is it about this thread and lads going off half cocked.
OI originally stated NATO, including the US have apporox 4000 warheads in active service. I didn’t count retired warheads cause why would if there mothballed. I even included a link to accurate figures not some vague Wikipedia thing. I’ve posted the same link three times now but no it’s like all sense of comprehension is gone home for the weekend🙄
Did anybody else see this about another Intercepted phonecall?
Describes torture techniques used.
Sounds familiar-
The region that is now Northern Ireland was long inhabited by native Gaels who were Irish-speaking and Catholic.[32][33]> It was made up of several Gaelic kingdoms and territories, and was part of the province of Ulster. During the 16th century English conquest of Ireland, Ulster was the province most resistant to English control. In the Nine Years' War (1594–1603), an alliance of Ulster Irish lords fought against the English government in Ireland. Following Irish defeat at the Siege of Kinsale, many of these lords fled to mainland Europe in 1607. Their lands were confiscated by the Crown and colonized with English-speaking Protestant settlers from Britain, in the Plantation of Ulster. This led to the founding of many of Ulster's towns and created a lasting Ulster Protestant community with ties to Britain.

What part of "Estimated" are you finding difficulty to understand.
America has over 5000 nuclear weapons
The nuclear war heads debate here is a prime example of a waste of time Dick measuring exercise. Why does it matter? Both sides can obliterate each other long before even half the arsenals are exhausted. They are insanely terrifying terrible dumb weapons even 1 of them in the world is too many never mind 10 or 20 odd thousand.
Hey now, No one said the human race was smart.
Hahah brilliant your list is better then mine. Enjoy maybe Putin will give you an award for such a big win.
@20silkcut - They are insanely terrifying terrible dumb weapons even 1 of them in the world is too many never mind 10 or 20 odd thousand.
And that single "1 of them" could be the one that Vitali Klitschko believes Putin - in his desperation - will launch at Kyiv.
We are on the brink, there's no doubt about that. The Doomsday clock is at 100 seconds to midnight.
Well I have to say that is brilliant. Now your claiming Turkey a repressive authoritarian dictatorship is more of a democracy then Ireland. I will have to give you great credit for that one. That takes gaslighting to a whole new level. Impressive indeed.
O and yes I do believe there is such a think as a democracy. I live in one. Ireland is far from perfect but we have a decent free open society and democratic political system overall.
I will grant you your dictator Erdogan is no puppet. No he is instead an authoritarian dictator. I cannot of course speak for anybody else but myself but the only thing I feel for Turkey is pity that it is stuck under the boot of a dictator and that it has such a repressive authoritarian government. Hope your able to live in Turkey so you can enjoy the fruits of the Erdogan dictatorship rather then living in Ireland or any other free and open western society.
Actually my list was the smaller figure and the topic was NATOs warheads. I made no mention of Putin or Russia whatsoever. It’s difficult to control knee jerks but just point the yourself in another direction.
Yes I know your "much better list" listed a lower number of warheads. You made a big deal that your list was better so I conceded that point. A big win for you. Which is why I suggested maybe you could get a nice award from Putin for such a big win.
But as someone else pointed out what the exact real numbers of warheads hardly really matters. There are way to many on either side. Even the Russians who probably have a lot of non functional warheads given what we have seen from their military equipment failures recently have no doubt way to many that are functional.
Because he's the only one I can think of from your democratic utopia that's essentially had a fatwa declared against him by your government. Nothing to do with his abilities.
You really don't get it, do you? Turkey's a dictatorship. Disagree and you're expelled (or worse.) Elections are a sham. But, yeah, you think it's a democracy. Hence the spitting of coffee. And the reminders of Serdar Argic's posts to Usenet back in the day about how those evil Armenians genocided Turks.
So, go away troll. You're nuts and you're a liar.
I used to read this guy's books and respect him. Complete embarrassment at this stage.
..
Your source felt it necessary to emphasise the omission of retired warheads
Sure we're all getting educated, none of us knew what retired warheads were yesteday
And in other news vs than who's list is wrong (both)
Darth is updating his feed
@Dohnjoe - I used to read this guy's books and respect him.
Probably because you're related.
Looking at your avatar there is a startling resemblance.
I think we should be told.
Amazing progress in Kharkiv
Chumpsky has had one overriding desire his entire life, to see Western society replaced by his socialist utopia. A guy who shilled for the Khmer Rouge would have no problem shilling for Putin
It justs shows the weird blind spot the West has towards far left extremism that he was never made a pariah in the public eye.

Why are you obsessed with this idea of nukes? Unhealthy.
I was in a bookstore in my home town a few years ago and there was a whole stand of books dedicated to Marx and Engels and Lenin etc with banner images of them and che Guevara etc as if it was something chic and cool. They are the fuckers who have us where we are today. Their ideas have caused the deaths of Millions.
Pardon?
Responding to someone who brought the topic up hardly means I'm "obsessed".
And neither does referencing a Ukrainian boxers opinion and a newspaper opinion on the subject.
If you've got nothing better to do than make stupid comments I suggest you watch the Eurovision Song Contest which is on now, and shout them at the television.
Noam Chomsky can be interesting at times, but much of his politics are vile and poisonous.
He has a repeated soft spot for genocidal dictators.
Hmmm...says a lot.
Klitschko - brilliant boxer and not a bad mayor at all, AFAICS, but I'll just hang back on his fears over nuclear annihilation for a bit. I believe it would take quite a drastic situation for Putin to want to obliterate Kyiv with a nuke, and that he wants the city as pristine as he can get it, being that it's pretty much the second city of Slavdom.
The U.S.A who, for all their faults, have been doing pretty well on the intelligence front in this whole thing so far, and are evidently feeding a lot of this to Ukraine, do not appear perturbed about nukes coming down any time soon. If they did, you'd likely be hearing much different noises coming out of Kyiv.

War Buggy.
(War) Electric Bike.
Those electric bikes look super useful. Hopefully thousands of them get there.
Out of (genuine) interest, do the retired warheads still contain the nuclear material? i.e. are they effectively a stock of enriched material to easily build new weapons as needed?
