Well as regard CGT, when you buy back in you reset your cost base anyway. You'd have had to pay at 46 anyway.
But it is hindsight. I'm merely pointing it out as you are also a little guilty of it. The decision you made worked out for you and I'm delighted for you. But that is you looking back on it from today (or more accurately from when you sold).
The issue I see on here a lot is people looking backward and thinking they missed out and convincing themselves that they won't miss out the next time. When it was going mad up to the 60's people were gung ho about "buying the dip" when it was dipping back toward 60. It's a little bit too much. It's people's own money to do what they want. I genuinely hope that none of them are nursing overall losses at the minute. At least not significant (to them) amounts
Coinbase is a worry. Wonder will the Coimbase wallet be secure or those that go if Coinbase goes.
This is news to me. Why what is wrong at Coinbase?
I've taken the hit and moved my largest asset from Coinbase
They legally had to tell everyone that they would lose theirs coins on the platform if the company went bust as it lost 400million or something.
They must pay staff a million quid a month there to lose that money and got in ernst and young to consult ....and the ceo must get 12billion every 3 months in stock like yer man musk....how else do you lose that
Where to?
Is their a one size fits all software wallet?
Coinbase Wallet is separate from Coinbase exchange. So long as no one gets your private keys, your assets can't be taken from you.
Just to remove any ambiguity and in relation to the thread title, I'm no longer excited, not excited at all in fact.
Excited about buying in at the bottom.
What price are you buying in at?
25K, 24K, and 22K.
Any rationale about those particular figures, or just a hunch that you have?
They are the current prices for Benjamin Cowens risk levels
Are you predicting it will fall to those levels?
Would now be a good time to invest €1000 into the market? Thinking 50% into BTC and then 10% for 5 other coins: ATOM, DOT, IOTA, LINK, XMR.
This would be a invest and forget 1000
Bitcoin only for now. You'll get rekt with alts atm.
I think we'll hit 24K. €22K might be a stretch, but I have limit orders set for all 3.
How do I get setup to buy crypto without upfront fees, I tried a company maybe 1yr ago but they hassle me for weeks insisting I lodge €500 to them minimum just to get started.
I'm only thinking about dipping my toe in with 150 or something to see how it works.
What will happen with XRP. I am just curious, I have no real vested interest in it. I have a tiny amount.
They lost a ruling against SEC last week (Hinman docs), shortly after that (Friday), figures were being mentioned that xrp would have to meet or avoid for things to start going their way, suggesting that not including an extended sell-off throughout the day, XRP should avoid sub-$0.56. The Second Major Support Level was sitting at $0.5360.
It dropped to $0.386 earlier and is expected to go lower. If things get worse as expected, then how low can it go before it becomes the first major casualty in this current shitshow, or will they suddenly be able to produce another million or so tokens. I know the above figures don't really count for much when the market is in the state that it is, but there are levels being hit that XRP couldn't afford to hit, which were last seen after XRP major spike in early 2018.
This could be a good thing - mass clear out of all the sh*t coins that serve no purpose and will never likely recover and we end up with the quality stuff that are worth investing in to
The Great Reset you might say.
Agreed.
That sounds like someone desperately searching for a silver lining at their single seater Cessna gets pummelled by lightening in a massive storm cell
Clarity for many on this ‘virtual’ Ponzi scheme will take time. The bigger the losses the longer it will take
It looked like bitboy crypto was on drugs in his last video. He was just banging on about government conspiracies.
Revolut would be easiest and quickest just for a taster.
Never buy ALTs on the way down 90% of them have no use and no future. If you were lucky to catch a wave on some random coin on the way up, and cashed out, then just stay out.
Wait for things to settle then buy some bit coin and wait two years.
I think we can close this thread until about July 2023 😮
What is the significance of that date?
At what price does it become unprofitable for miners to continue?
That varies by region but you also have to factor in the hardware costs too. Production is down and demand is still high.
