Interesting if that is filmed on the front lines because it shows no sign of them using any of the digital upgrades; they're only using the optical sights. Which would mean it very unlikely they're able to use any of the advanced fuses or guided shell types; and also that overall accuracy and efficiency would be reduced compared to the potential of the system.
Although it makes sense if they wanted to get them onto the front lines quickly but hopefully some units are getting the extra training and advanced digital kit.
Ukraine facing fuel shortages
Any chance of a link for that?
While it's good for Kharkiv to have the pressure on the city reduced this doesn't mean the other Russian fronts are crumbling we we speak. It's also looking very likely that Russia has "done a Kyiv" around Kharkiv and retreated across the border; in many cases it looks like Ukraine were able to take areas without significant fighting.
The Russian focus still remains the Donbass where they're making slow but incremental gains; but thankfully they've been stalled in Kherson and most of Zaporizhzhia for the past week or more.
We should buy some off the Russians and give it to the Ukrainians just for irony sake
Couldnt NATO maul Belarus for that tho, I mean they aren't a nuclear threat.
I thought everyone had left there - strong words

Lots of if's and maybe's in that
One could read that as a warning to Putin's cronies... 'you know your boss is quite mad and this won't end well for you and your loved ones... the ball is in your court'
Relieving Kharkiv does put pressure on the Russian supply route from Belgorod to Izyum though so there's some benefit to the other fronts. The Russians may need to change, I.e. lengthen their supply routes to avoid being in range of Ukrainian artillery to change.
looks like gas supplies to europe could be impacted shortly
If Putin was to be toppled ( beheaded and put through a wood chipper preferably) who or what would his replacement likely be……a similarly minded paranoid war mongering former Soviet Union/KGB type that would be no better…..?
I am now very weary of what Germany is up to - going on what’s being said here - especially in relation to arms supply to the UKr. Because it is a major EU member , its own history /experience of war it has to be seen to be supplying something . It seems to be very reluctantly supplying the MINIMUM amount. RU would expect this to happen because of Germanys position as I have explained.
Germanys behaviour sets it up well - when everything has ‘SETTLED DOWN - to deal again with RU re exports/imports and business in general and Putin or his replacement dealing with Germany while giving it very favourable terms
The bottom line is that Germany could get gas , etc, on very favourable terms compared to what ‘unfriendly countries might be paying for their energy. Germanys production base would therefor have a significant economic advantage.
I wonder is Macron on the same wavelength
Getting rid of the policy on the VETO concerns me now.
When was the photo taken
Russia’s economy has plunged into its worst crisis for almost three decades as the country is battered by Western sanctions, a leaked copy of the Kremlin’s own forecasts shows.
.
The ship is creaking. Hopefully it springs some serious leaks soon.

You're now seeing why many western European countries did not want a united Germany after the fall of the Soviet Union
If Germany was serious about no longer buying gas from Russia, there is something that it CAN DO IMMEDIATELY and that is to PHYSICALLY decommission/dismantle/ remove or whatever - at least- the receiving point of that newly constructed gas piplline via the Baltic Sea from Russia.
I do not know if the line is fully installed complete with loading point or not BUT if Germany can be seen to do some Physically decommissioning work on it , it would send a very clear message to Russia. Baybe Germany could , for example, blow up the pipe where it enters Germany territory be it on land or at sea. The above action would not hurt anyone , have no impact on current supply , nobody will get killed, etc. let’s just making sure that a certain thing does not happen in the future .
So , Germany, what about it. It’s a big opportunity to confirm your clear intent about where you are in the ‘game’
Photograph is dated 2017
They will not do that. When things settle down they need the option to take the Russian gas and increase that supply. Yes, at the moment they have to pretend they care about Ukraine for PR reasons, but they don’t. I would be pretty confident that Russian gas will be flowing into Europe in ever greater quantities sometime down the line.
They are saying it was seen recently. The UA did not say they sank the ship as far as I am aware. The photograph may just be a reference photo. You'd think if a journalist spotted it he'd take a snapshot at least.
This is the question really. There's a lot of wishful thinking of the 'just take him out' variety but the reality is that Putin has carefully constructed a power vertical over 2 decades where he is the unchallenged apex of that vertical. He has no equals or even near-equals. Anyone who even hints at stepping out of line is ruthlessly dealt with. There is no opposition (look at what they did to Navalny) and no government in waiting, as we would expect in Western style democracies. There's also no rational reason to think that Russia would suddenly ditch its entire political history and become a functioning democracy if only Putin would just die or be deposed.
So the answer is 'we don't know' but there is every reason to think that Putin's successor would also come from the siloviki, and would be of a similar mindset - hostile to the West, and that Russia would remain a destabilising force to the entire world order.
Tough guys/ Big men don’t need blankets.
vlad “blanket” putin
The admiral Makarov may not be at see the various news articles are based off a tweet by HI Sutton Who's tracking naval assets in the areas, the Makarov is sitting off the Sevastopol naval base in Crimea,
There are a few other Russian vessels in the area but that doesn't mean the Makarov isn't damaged or suffered damage in an attack
Battle for snake island is in progress
Its a key strategic position for Russia and Ukraine
Putins hitler jugend
Dont think future generations will be any better
What's interesting for me in this clip is the state of the APC.
The rust and corrosion doesn't look like it was possible in the last 3 months.
Russia must be scraping the barrel now for equipment.
so what you are saying is that, at least, Germany fully intends , down the line , buying all the gas / oil it wants from Russia - which defeats the purpose of the sanctions - and Putin , more than likely knows that and he will plan for the long term accordingly Eg when he builds up his army and war chest- say 15 yrs from now, he or his replacement will ‘go at it again’
That BMP has been sitting in Siberia for decades by the looks of it.
