*Declan Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
Thought she was going to say 'For f*cksake' when they played the announcement of Katie winning.
Man City have conceded a few emotional goals
Highlights of tonight's match
Chance is a fine thing.
^^^^ 😂
It is a saying btw, but it's "not a rat's chance in hell"...I've definitely heard it before.
Ken talking about being spooked by some noise at one in the morning yesterday was pretty funny.
We found the one.
Nah, there's at least two of us....three if you include Ken.
And me. That makes four at least.
"maybe I was afraid to face it"
Great comeback from Ken
I've heard it too.
Has Ken split from his wife?
No idea, but not sure why it would be anyone's business?
The extended 'Show me some respect' David Silva audiobed is superb.
Yep. Superb.
Yeah, it's class
Was worried the Stephen Bradley interview would be boring, but thought it was very good, that robbery story 😲
What's the story with the outro music, made me think about those souped up cars with those horrible stickers on the back and the smell of Lynx.
I think the actual phrase is "rat's chance in hell"
The 'which manager is the worst loser' chat in the soccer pod was really lame. One of the journos kicks it off by counterintuitively nominating Klopp. Then someone else suggests Conte. Or is it Guardiola. Or possibly Tuchel.
Seems every really successful manager hates losing, Who'da thunk?
I disagree with ken's dismissal of luck in football. a ball can go another way and city are in the champions league final and could won it. it's not like they weren't creating chances. luck is a huge part of winning knockout cups. maybe in a 38 game league it's less important
Some from the heart swearing today.
You love to hear it.
I was gasping for a pint after listening to today's episode
Gab Marcotti seems a more spikey character every time I hear him speak
He didn't like being called English one bit
I actually think he has mellowed. When he used to present The Times podcast, i think it was called the game back in 2008/09 he was very much the angry nerd. It was terrible. Horrendous listen.
There weren't as many options back then. The guardian was excellent, pretty much the best of what they have now, the totally football show and the athletic put together. Off the ball was great but sporadic about posting streams of the show.
Good interview with Sean Dyche today.
Felt it could have been cut to a half hour....like Richie said he talks a lot without saying much.
Yeah really enjoyed it. Much prefer listening to managers talk about the game over players. Would be interesting to see him at other types of club. Wolves, Palace etc.
